GrowDad's Blue Berries & Super Skunk Grow 2020

Day 63 Flower day 25

Temps 78
RH 63%
Pests: None

Well flower day 25 and all the plants are doing well. I am hoping that since adding the CalMag the issues are resolving themselves. It doesn't appear to be getting worse, so I think we are good to go.
All the plants have several colas on them.. now its just waiting for them to fill in. I have learned that with four Indica dominate plants they get bushy so 4 maybe the limit.

Here's a Shot of one of Karen's Buds... She has about 12 colas
Blueberries:

Coming along wonderfully Growdad420 !

I think your in for a wonderful surprise on how much of a harvest you'll have!

Your pictures are beautiful and you've done a great job. You can see your confidence building from the start to right now!

If you haven't already, make a harvest and cure plan, I wouldn't wait till the last minute. Make sure you've got plenty of supplies (I.e. hydrometers for jars, and well jars). There's a few different methods, read up on them and when the time comes you can get it done without second guessing.

I tend to wonder away, low attention span these days. Feel free to tag me anytime, in fact please do come harvest time!!!!
Keep up the good work!

Thanks Rexer... I have been reading up on your cure method. Thanks so much for the positive vibes.

Flower day 29

Hurricane zeta knocked out the power to the county. I have the girls sitting in front of a window is all I can do. Outside isn't an
option. Hopefully power will be restored soon. Been out all day so far

Flower Day 30
Lost one decent day of light.. Power came back on late in the evening so we are back on track. Water intake has slowed from what I noticed, so hopefully being back under the warm lights, they begin to consume more water.

Flower Day 33
Temps 75
RH 47%
Pests None
Issues: Meh

Time for some Weed Porn!

Blueberries up first

Karen and one of her colas

Runt's cola..

Now the Superskunks - They suffered from CalMag def.. so I have been treating them... What you see are are the remnants from it. (hopefully)

The pistils are turning on the Superskunk to the orange color but the Trichs are mostly clear lil bit cloudy.

Nice journal growdad420. Kinda late at the end of the party here but few pointers for your next grow that might help with height. If you remove the aluminum shelf and grab 4 jhooks then you can hang the lights from the ceiling. This will give you 10ft and would fix your height issue.

The filter can be hanged as well or just put on the ground.

One thing i noticed throughout your journal was when your plant was stunt due to the salt build up in your soil, but as soon as you did the 15g flush it brought them back up. So, on your next grow I would watch that. You might need to water more at the end before the flush cycles.

i know you are following Emilya watering method and I do too at certain stage of the plants life. However, if you look at the pics you are watering them too much at seedling and first few weeks of veg stage. Smoking a J and giving time until 2nd round of watring is good, but it all depends how many times you circle the water around the plant.

Overall i think you've done a wicked job for your first grow. :bravo:

Thanks for the tips PK. My wife would not let me alter the room in anyway as this isn't a permanent operation. LOL You are correct I did water way too much at the early age... lessoned learned on that one. The biggest thing I learned was patience. I am going to take these lessons and apply to my next grow (Wedding Cake and Purple Power).

Ill update with a pic shortly on their progress as of late. All buds filling in nicely now.

Flower Day 40

Temps: 76
RH 60% (recent flush)
Pests: ME
Issues: None

They were flushed this Saturday.

Well folks it's day 40. Things are getting close. Still waiting on my magnifier to check the trichomes, but I am within I suspect 4 weeks...

The Super skunks have shown the leaf damage they sustained from the PH and CalMag issues, but although they look bad the lower leaves look good so I think we are good there.
The Pistils on the super skunks have already starting to change but this is normal for this strain as the trichomes are now where near ready.

So here is Sassy Super Skunk, the leaves look bad where it looks bad but lower growth is ok.

Here is her sister Lass Super Skunk, she too suffered the same fate as her sister but has since looks ok in recovery

:yummy::blunt:Now the stars of the show: :yummy: :blunt: None of which suffered any problems like the super skunks and they were all treated and watered the same.

Runt Blueberries was the smallest of the bunch. Only one in 100% soil no perlite mix, and she is the tallest with the largest buds.

Here is Karen Blueberries, she is just doing her thang but her colas are nice and fat. She too suffered no effects unlike the super skunks.

looks good, did you figure the yellowing on the leaves out?

I had a CalMag issue as well as a PH issue that only seemed to affect the super skunks. Other than that and the usual nute burn I did not see any other issues.

If you see something please let me know..

Also I noticed on the SS that there may also be a Potassium Def. which is why I gave a flush and moving them the next stage of nutes which would lower the nitrogen and increase the K.

I figured, I will do what I can but at this point.. I also did some research on the strain from the supplier and they prolly should have been flipped and harvested long ago because they are meant to deliver low yields but high potency.

Well I kept them in Veg and LST for more yeild so I wonder if they even realize they are on borrowed time. LOL

Anyhoot, still learning as I go... could be a finnicky strain I suppose...

i just noticed the yellowing around the edges of the skunk

Flower Day 42
First and foremost, Happy Veterans Day to my fellow brothers and sisters here, Thank you for your service. :thumb::ganjamon:

They were fed 3 days after their flush so they should be good to go.
Trichome scope came in and I finally got to check. All the Trichomes are mostly clear to some cloudy.... so this tells me that they have a ways to go yet... I guess they can only get bigger from here.

All plants are relatively at the same stage with the Super skunks a bit further along than the blueberries, but I will include a scope check at each feeding to monitor the trichome progress.

Just a waiting game now at this point.

Runt is growing a bud that resembles a giant penis.. LOL

Flower Day 44
oh what a day makes... Trichs are right where they need to be.... Gonna prepare for the Chop Sunday high noon!

Stay Tuned!
