Cinderella 99 Grow

let’s hope she stays ok, I think I’ll be okay if I open the vents but the humidity gets down to 40-50%

24 hour update. One seedling is growing a lil wonky but I’m sure she’ll straighten up once it has time to process the light. The one in the solo cup doesn’t seem to be producing chlorophyl on half of a tea leave. Haven’t seen that yet before. Sure she’ll be fine though. The first one to pop is starting to stretch towards the light. If she stretches too much I’ll throw my 6500k cfl lights in there. (Last seedling i grew under them was a bagseed but under 125w of the 6500k it had a stalk the size of a cig by 6” tall in soil. Lights were about 6” above em) I’ve heard the c99 tend to have thin stems so I may pick up some silica in the next month or so. Still waiting for the veg lights to get in so I’ll be running the 4000k highbay for a few weeks. She’s prob at 48” above the pots. I’ve added the 2-5-3 nutes in a small amount of each just for the bacteria. I’ll prob flush em all when I get a good carbon filter. Right now I’m using tap which sucks cause we all know chlorine sucks. I should get a bubbler and vent off 5 gal of water and I will soon so I don’t kill off all the bacteria. My tap is about 350ppm on the cold side and 450ppm. Water surveys done have also showed a lot of other pesticides and herbicides as I live in the land of too many corn fields lol
I wont drink it.

I suggest anyone who drinks theirs to check local water surveys. You’d be surprised when you see cyanide in small amounts and various carcinogenic matter.

Makes me wanna get a whole house RO setup lol humidity and temps are still good.

I’ve also pushed a couple wholes with my finger to help dry the soil. I tried to inoculate the soil with the bacteria by first flushing the soil. Than turning it a couple times a day to allow it to dry evenly. After which I added 1/2 cup of the 2-5-3 and watered and continued to tumble for a week or so allowing it dry but stay moist (added 10oz of water every few days to keep the promix from drying out too much) soon I’ll get a worm farm setup for castings. My neighbor has a chicken coup and I’ve heard about phosphorus from chicken feathers and using chicken poo but what do you guys know about that? Add the feathers to compost? Can u burn the feathers and use ash like you can hard wood for phosphorous?

Veg lights are in. Both are 24x48”
One is 4000k the other is 5000k

They’re 330w draw each and I’d like to replace with Lm301h/660nm strips later on. I’ve been looking at suppliers and the prices aren’t too bad. They are also 0-10v dimmable with a 5 year warranty on the oem setup. I think 130lm/w. I’ll put them in the tent when they get a bit larger.
If they run well I’ll get multiple spectrum led strips and test a few out. Will def need a good par meter and light spectrometer but it’ll be worth it if I can build a light with higher efficacy ppfd than the green sunshine company at a lower price.

These should def veg better than the single cob amazon light and the 200w 4000k light. Well at least In terms of coverage. They did not come with a power wire and plug but I have some I’ll solder on.

Update. One seed never popped. Oh well. Another was going strange so i pulled her. The back right of the three is actually a gorilla glue. Temp mid 70s 70-75% humidity.

@Backlipslide yeah they’re big and bright af. They said they can be used for 1-10v dimming but I think the wires are tucked in the body. They are kinda flimsy/twisty though. With one at 24” it’s about 55000 lux. With them stretched from one end to another I should get good light coverage considering it will be 8’ they do put out some heat though. I need to buy an extractor fan soon. They are passively venting right now

Just some updates. They be growing. The GG popped up. Not sure if I’ll scrog it on to help fill the tent or just let her grow naturally. I’ve either scrog, or lst all my grows. At least 1 topping usually.

Seedling are going good. Setup in the closet cause I was getting light leaks through the “wall” splitting the tent in half. Need thicker tape. Next time I’ll just use panda film and aluminum tape. Really thinking of just making a grow room. Would be nice. Maybe 15x15ft, it would give me a nice 8x8 ft canopy with about 3.5ft on all sides. Mind you I’m a pretty small person at 5’10” 150lbs I don’t need much space to move around. Maybe in about a month I’ll get around to it. I have experience in construction so it won’t be a big deal. Should take maybe a weekend . The largest of the c99 just popped its third set of leaves. The others are behind but they are on track. The GG has its first leaves finally opening up

Gorilla Glue has decided to join these girls and all will be in the 4x8 when the bag seed is done

Small update.

Plants are still growing. I had them in the closet due to light leaks getting into the flower half of the tent but they’re back in the tent now. Humidity has been low 30-50% in the closet but should be 70% easy now that they’re in the tent. Temps are 78f with vents closed

Topped the c99 today. The nodes are farther apart than the other but the stem is 2-3x larger than the others. It will be the second topping and maybe more in the future. She grows faster than all the other plants I've grown. The initial topping was just a week ago. Depending on how the gorilla glue will determine whether or not the Cinderella will have to fill the whole 4x8 by them selves. If that end up the case I'll transplant into 30 gal fabric pots 2 and just let her rip. I have moby dick xxl auto and royal queen seeds Quick One auto on the way to give me a small harvest while cindy vegs. Each will be in their own tent probably a 2x2 and I will make some feminized seeds while they're in there. The smaller plant seems to have some deficiency. Which it should. So I added calmag as it seems like slight chlorosis and all the trace minerals should help. What do you guys think? The fast grower I'm pretty sure has nitrogen toxicity but is slowly eating it all up. The leaves are returning to normal as they were thick dark and shiny the leaves were. Some mutation going on too but oh well.
