GrowUpJr Indoor Soil Grow Journal 2020: Girl Scout Cookies AKA GSC

I got my seeds today from New420GuySeeds.com and ready to start! I highly recommend them as they are the most reasonable, US based and have a good delivery time. I placed the order last Wednesday, 06/24/20. I ordered 2 each Durban Poison and GSC and got a couple extra GSC free. Due to long-term space of adults, I am starting 2 GSC and 1 Durban Poison (under separate grow logs). It might create some duplication of entries on my part, but I'll figure something out.

RH: 50%

Brought them inside at 9:22 pm last night (Michigan, still some light) where the tent has lights out at midnight and on again at 6:00 am for an 18 HR on cycle. Just put the dome on with vents closed. Two GSC and one Durban Poison.

I'll be keeping indoor today. Too much heat with the sun, especially with the dome, and it dries the soil quickly without it.

I put a temp/humidity reader inside the dome, so I have one for the tent and one in the dome. I will be reporting just the dome. The first recording was before the reading for RH fully stabilized. My PH is 5.8 throughout in a spray bottle. When I have to refill I will update as required. Until they sprout, any pics would just be the same dome shot of peat pots, so I won't add any pics until I see green.

Before leaving the tent I decided to check the soil beyond the top layer and I found it was dry so I moistened it.

Not sure if my RH is too high, I understand high humidity is good, but I don't know the range. I will need to research. I have the vents closed so I can open one or more to get it down if I need to. That's it for now.

I realized I only planted 06/29/20 at 5:00 pm, so it really has only been less than 4 days. I felt better about not seeing green. Patients. I can't smoke right know and boy I need something to calm the nerves, can anyone relate?

Since I'd hit the 7 day mark, I carefully removed some top soil to take a peak and was pleased to find that I just need to be patient with these little gals a bit longer, they are coming.

And good luck on ur grow, if u have any questions feel free to ask, I might not b able to help but others can lol
I just posted an update with some pics. They haven't sprouted but I dug to make sure the seeds were doing something and they were. Pics are of seeds before I covered them back up. The should pop I'd think in another few days or so I hope.

I am happy to report that the GSC have sprouted, pics attached. The one plant is just pushing up a mound but a tad of green is visible from the side. Those pics may just look like soil. The other plant I literally saw more growth after taking pics of it so I took more. As you scroll, the top pic is actually the last one I took of this, so they are in reverse order. Hope the difference is noticeable as it was to me.

The first one is coming up with a helmet, I think my bad from how I covered it back up yesterday. I put a little soil over it after taking pics to see if she'll shake it off.

I missed my 6:00 am check due to dead phone. Didn't have charger connected all the way and due to insomnia, slept late.

No luck? How wet are you keeping the soil? Did you soak the seeds in water before planting? There is no new pics today.

Thanks for stopping by. One of the two broke through today, and the other is pushing the soil up. New post with pics. I must have been posting the pics for the prior post as you were visiting. Those would have been of the ones where I dug down to the seeds to check on them and found roots growing. I took pics before covering back up (and of course posted).

I keep the soil damp, not wet. I did not soak them first, but plan to from now on.
