Hi all. So this is my first journal. I used to do some growing back in the 1990s, until my children were born that is. LOL. These days I have an ACMPR license and I'm allowed to cultivate my own medicine for a spinal cord injury due to a failed back surgery back in 2009. Pretty happy with this crown royale.
So my veg space is 18 x 48 x 48. I keep one mother and a miniature ebb and flow system that I built to keep the clones ready.
My flower room is 47x48x76. 600w Hortilux enhanced HPS with 2 48"T5HO SunBlasters(6400k) at the edges for good coverage and a bit of blue. 16x6 inch MountainAir carbon filter. I am using three part General hydroponics plus Cal mag and both koolbloom formulas plus terpinator in a 12 Gal reservoir feeding two separate 2 x 4 tables. I flush with florakleen.
My mother is in CannaCoco and perlite 4:1 and does very well. All the rest is RapidRooters in hydroton with perlite 10:1 in 6" square pots, FIM'd out and SCROG'd. Most will likely say these are to small, but with 14 plants, 7 on each table, I think I'll have more individual control. Initial goal is 30g per plant.

Great to meet you King. While I've done some growing before, this will be my first time fully hydroponic. I used to grow in peat moss back in the 90s under a 400 W combo bulb. It's all I could afford. Not bad results all things considered. Got to say, love the access to information these days. Makes things a lot easier. No doubt I will definitely be needing advice on the hydroponics end. Great to have you.

Just so everyone is up to speed, I have a small batch of the crown coming out in 10 days. These are in coco, which I've abandoned in favor of hydroton. Less chance of root rot, and more frequent delivery of nutrients to the roots. At least this is my line of thought.
Once these come out, house cleaning and in with the clones for 7-10days of veg under 600w MH to fill out the screen. Lollipop and away we go.

Nice finish in those ladies. Coco is what I'm using for my first grow. Hope I get some results like that. Have one giant pheno on the purple kush that I will clone as well. Interested to see your new grow as I'm toying with the idea of hydro as well.

It's a nice strain from what I've seen so far. Rock hard nugs. I also found, in a side by side, that terpinator seems to make a nice difference in gland production. They seem to end up like upside down teardrops rather than hammers.

Anyone have thoughts on using cal-mag with hydroton? Or is it more of a coco thing?

Wow. So you know how some things seem to take forever, and some things seem to happen so fast? Well I gotta say, I really like this hydroton. Very fast. This is 24 hours after topping. Lookin' good. Should provide a good jump on the screen.
