Hey all, just started my first grow and i'm 17 days in, a few problems but over all i think the babies look fantastic. I like building things so i decided to build instead of by and just wanted to share what i did with you all and see how you guys like it and if anyone has any input or constructive criticism for me. It's 4'x4' and 6.5' high, 2 locking latches and just weather stripping on the door. 600 watt dimable MH/HPS with an air cooled hood, 4 4" intakes on the bottom with prefilters and dual prefilters on them. 6" 440cfm exhaust with carbon filtration and 2 oscilating 7" hurricane fans and a scrog net i built to fit perfectly in the box about 11 inches above the rim of my 5 gallon containers. covered the inside with flat white paint and reflective mylar. Painted the outside of the box just because i felt like it. I don't need to use the stealth methods i'm just trying to be nice tot he neighbors about the smell of them since i'm in an apartment. The last pis is the morning of day 17 after a morning spritz.

Very nice mate. Hint I've done, have elastic cords on your ducting to the light. As you raise the light, the elastic will hold the ducting up, out the way.

Looks really nice:thumb:

If the room your tent is in is getting light from the outside you might wanna have atleast one 90 degree bend on your intake holes so light can't get in and mess with your ladies beauty sleep.

Happy growing

That's not a bad idea at all, right now i'm just tieing them back with cotton twine as needed.

That's why i have those boxes shading them, i have a nikon d3100 with low light capabilities. I put it in there withthe lights off and the door to the room wide open and with those shades on + the prefilters it didn't pick up any light at all. I was thinking about putting thin black cloth over the box intakes though just for an extra precaution.
