I use Jadam's Microbe Solution every week in the soil because the microbes break down organic matter in the soil to feed the roots, and does it ever!. I had to buy some organic amendments because the ladies showed deficiencies here and there. Feeding the roots is different than waging war against botrytis. Different thought process's are needed. But that's only my way, too. Happy Smokin'

And to be sure, this is probably an "off label" application of the JMS.

For molds and powdery mildew Master Cho suggests his Jadam Sulfer mix. He lists grey mold (which I think is botrytis) as being treated by the JS.

I missed that part. I'll have to check it out! Thanks. Happy Smokin'

There are some growers on here like @bobrown14 that use sulfer in some sort of a burner if I recall, but that may be more effective in an enclosed space like a tent or greenhouse since I think it is the off gassing that settles on the plants providing treatment/protection.

@HashGirl and @Bode are doing this outside with Mother Nature, so I assume wind might make that approach less effective.

@HashGirl I hope you're ok with us groping around in the dark mucking up your thread with this tangent.

If not, apologies and we can take the discussion elsewhere. Just say the word.

I feel that there is always much to be learned from these exchanges in various journals. That's one of the reason Shed's perpetual journal works so well as he appears to be fond of doing garden experiments and doesn't mind people asking questions about them. So, discourse away.

It's been almost 2 weeks since the last update but I've been busy trimming, making oil and putting into capsules. I feel like I'm on an assembly line with oil recently.

Since my last update, I have prepared the following oils and put into capsules:

  • Alpine Star CBD
  • Amnesia
  • Blueberry
  • CB Dutch Treat
  • CBD Hash Plant – for a friend
  • Girl Scout Cookies
  • Hash Plant
  • Hash Plant – for a friend
  • Lemon
  • Purple
Without further ado, here is the:

*** Weekly Update ***

Highlights this update include:
  • The Carnival was harvested on October 28.
  • I flushed the Dark Devils and adjusted their feedings to 5g MC/gal from 5.25g MC/gal.
  • Cal-Mag was added to the feed water for the photo plants. It was added before MC as per Virgin Ground's advice.
  • The Sour Diesel has developed a leaf issue. I've also added bamboo stakes to her pot as she was starting to be floppy.
  • Jack Herer 2's lower flowers feel bristly. I've never noticed this before so don't know if it's normal.

Highya HashGirl,

Love your ladies! They look so green and happy! Great job! Happy Smokin'

As Chandler might say on Friends..."Could your DDA's be any different?"

To which Joey would say, "Uh yeah, they're DDAs!"

Carnival is a beauty! Congrats on the harvest. :thumb:

How many leaves on the SD look like that and where are they on the plant? Have you scoped the bottom for creepy crawlies?

Other than the leaf pic, the plants look like they're loving live up there!

*** Weekly Update ***

Good afternoon.

Not much new in the garden this week. The Dark Devils are doing their fugly thing with some yellowing of leaves so I bumped the MC back up to 5g/gal just today. DDA1 should be done soon so I also included some trichome pics.
