NCCA Hawkeye’s running back Adam Robinson, who has been suspended two weeks ago for failing to comply with team expectations and policies, was arrested Monday for possession of Marijuana.
December 13th, coach Kirk Ferentz announced that NCAA Hawkeye’s sophomore running back Adam Robinson has been suspended from the team, as a result of failing to comply with team expectations and policies. He said that Robinson has been cleared medically, but that he will not be participating in the upcoming Insight Bowl game, but that he has the option to rejoin the team when classes resume in January.

Des Moines, Iowa – The Iowa State patrol cites Adam Robinson for possession of Marijuana. On Monday, December 27th, at around 10:45pm, a Iowa state Patrol Trooper stopped a car for not having a front plate, south of Des Moines, on East 4th street.
When the Trooper approached the car, detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. A probable cause search of the car was conducted and marijuana was found inside the vehicle.
The driver was identified as Ermin Zornic, 20, and the passenger as Hawkeye’s Adam Robinson, 21. The driver was charged with Possession with intent to deliver Marijuana and OWI charges are pending toxicology tests. He was taken to the Polk County Jail.
Adam Robinson was cited for possession of marijuana and released with a promise to appear in court on January 5th, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
Many fans believe that there isn’t any doubt that Robinson’s Iowa playing days are done.
