Hearing Highlights :
" before you read my testimony that Debbie Riddle, a rep from Houston on the committee, asked me after I had given my whole spiel "What is cannabis?" The committee snickered, as I explained that "cannabis" is what she knew as "marijuana." I then explained that the substance had been labeled with the more negative term in the thirties, but that cannabis is the clinical, scientific term for the substance. She then mentioned that this was the first time she had heard the word. I have good ....sarcasm-dar, and this lady truly had no idea what I had been talking about. "
"Allen Fletcher seemed to have a really bad attitude about the bill. He is out of Houston, so we need to bombard his offices with calls from his constituents asap."
"Overall the hearing went well. They added HB 902 to "pending." As it stands, the bill has still not made it out of committee."
"Call them All and Call Them often!!!"
