Just 'toying' around with the ducting.. getting an idea of the larger plan...
Stuck a 45° duct coupler into the wood box, looking to see what angle is easy on the eye. 2 x 45° look better than 1 x 90°. I would have to 'off set' the cooling box for the 90° to fit. going into a t-duct, lower part will go down, odor sok install below shelf. Cannot do much on the 2nd side.. too much stuff there atm. I am thinking to go through the wall, into a second t-duct, pipe down same set-up as left side, going into the vent fan. Then up through the top, out the window.

@ TurboMad: No Sir, tis but my first time. I guess all of us 'users' do have a certain sense of 'fantasy'. I know this build/set-up is taking a very long time and costing more than anticipated, but I am trying to put forth my best effort, if possible, knocking out/off all variables. Sure, I am heading towards a major learning curve, more than likely many things i didn't consider or even know, but like said, it will be a learning situation, no matter what.
So, further with the build:
Took an old wooden chest my wife had acquired for free many moons ago, and that was never 'used' due to the lid/hinges being broken. We used it as storage for pillows/blankets/guest supplies. I installed 2 hinges, not worrying about any air gaps.
I also installed 1 spring loaded strut to help ease opening the lid.. it is a bit weak, won't hold the lid 'up', but for sure eases lifting.
Ok, so i placed this chest atop my closet. this will be where my "air in" filter/fan will reside. I plan to sound proof the chest. Also I need to get a few pieces of wood to place below the chest. I have it laying on it's side, lid opens towards the ceiling. The lid has a wee bit (2 inches/5cm maybe) of a lip. I did not want to cut this off.
Plan is to put the fan/filter in the lower part of this chest, add shelf, and have my nutrients stored there. (Light protected and hopefully somewhat coolish.
Pix: (Styrofoam is just there to see what height i need to get past the lids lip, wood is just holding the lid open while i figure a better way...)

Now I cut out the square in the veg space for the clw 275w led. I cut the hole a bit larger as I plan to use a heat resistent rope (from wood oven Scheibendichtung Dichtband Ofenband Glasscheibe Flachband 5/2mm Selbstklebend sc | eBay) around it, to give a heat barrier, not to burn the wood, or dry it out too badly. should allow for some height adjustment aswell. (the way its hanging atm is NOT the way it will be installed.

Ok, so the lights have been hung, for testing. CLW's SS 550 on 'standard/uncontrolled' mode (full power), the temp reached, with door closed, unsealed, a max of 41°C. with door open, 24°Cish, simulating air in as I will be using room air as air in (higher co2 level and prewarmed/tempered. Humidity is low... 25% approx. ok, ok, no water/plants in there yet...
more ducting arrived; do i use the 2 large fans for suction/underpressure, and the 2 small fans for air in, or 1 fan ea for in/out?
Also, as seen on the pics, i need to raise the lamps, meaning cutting out a part of the upper shelf. 1) do i cut out just enough so the lamp fits snuggly into the shelf, or leave a nice say 1 inch/2,5cm gap around it? 2) can I make a box above this /cutout to place the propagator upon, using the lamps fan heat to warm the propagator from below. holes will be drilled into this encasement box, to allow for heat dissipation/air movement above the lamp.
oh, more ducting arrived, and added bonus: They are remodeling/renewing our change room/sweatbox at work. I saw that there was/were air ducting that was connected to the fluorescent light fixtures, one was still connected to the fixture. so i says to the workers i says: is that garbage? they nodded. I asked if they were to drive it out back to the park garage, i would buy them a round o java... it worked. the fixture is in my garage, needs cleaning, but 2 extra ducts i have, take a look.
Drill/hole saw 100mm dia arrived too....

Nice choice of light I use California light works older model ss440 in my 3x3 I love it! Welcome to 420mag

Thanks. Hoping the output heat) from the ss 550 isn't too much... Doing my best to counteract. Do you have/use the controller too?? Any tips/hints??

Le build continues...:
Cut out the cutout for the ss550. Saw went a little awry on me... damned!! Came up with an idea for height adjustment not that of the lamp but of the gals themselves. (In relation to the lamp...) I had bought some screws and nuts on ebay. I know not what/how they are called in englasias, here in Germany, they are called "Stockschrauben", built for use in wood (thread pointy end), but with a normal machinists thread on the other side. They are driven (the 'head/working/business end') via TORX. The nuts are standard M8 6 sided, BUT looooonnnggg... no real need for tools to tighten them down...
2 ea bolts were installed, in previously drilled holes that the closet had from fabrication.
Ok, so I took some shelving brackets, also from the bay, and slipped one bolt hole over a previously installed bolt. I held the bracket up, and looky there, the bolthole above fit to good 88%!! alrighty, bolt screwed in, bracket held up, upper bolt massaged down with a hammer until bolt>hole fit. slipped on, nut installed, repeat on 3 other corners. NOW I took the upper bolt and placed the brackets lower hole on there and installed the next screw 5 holes up.. it all fits!! The bolts are kinda at an angle, but that is ok by me. I found a piece o wood in the garage, that fit pretty well from the width, needs a bit of fitting.
The drawer area at the bottom, wil be removed, the drawer covers will be used as a blind. behind will be 1 of 3 water reservoirs. (1 veg, 1 bloom, 1 drain/waste) The wooden piece that goes up the middle/drawer left side, i will be keeping, to attach the drawer facila to. I could install one more set of bolts, about the height of that wooden piece/drawer cover..
nuff said, on to the pix:

I don't have any heat issues my tent is in a small room with a/c, and have a 4in inline fine with a carbon scrubber sucking the hot air out. The set up your building looks like it should be perfect for the ss550. Ill be here following along if you have any questions ill answer them to the best of my ability. What I don't know plenty of others here at 420 do.

All the work and money you are putting in to this will pay for itself really quickly when you don’t have to buy weed anymore. Lol. Keep it up mounty. A good environment is among the best things you can do to maximize your chances for success.

Muchas Gracias for the psychological support. Fighting my own demons, actually having troubles sleeping, cannot stop running things over and over... what if I did so, and what reprications would it have... gggrrrr!!! But as you say, once it's up and running, calm should set in... till then... woot what a ride...

Work done today, thus far: Installed bolts on Veg side for shelving/height adjustment, 1/4 closet. The other 1/4 will be (planned) mom. I flexed off the sharp bolt points from yesterday, put hot glue over to protect the foil that will be installed. I only put hot glue on the outside bolt points because i have no more flex (cutting) disks for my dremel...
Bought some wood spackle. The heatrope/adhesive must be installed on a dry clean smooth surface. Cut (badly) particleboard fulfills naught these requirements. Took a piece of 90° angle box corner protector (paper), cut to size (dulling my blade badly!!) and held in place with clamps. Filled the large gap, and also the cut face of the particleboard (hence 'wood').
This will be smoothed/sanded once hardened.

Finally got the propagator undug and brought up. It was a wee bit too high. I dropped the shelf 2 holes, so maybe 4 inches. Now it looks ok. Again, the styrofoam is just there to hold place: the propagator does not fit squarely ontop the heat box. I have cork or something in the garage, to bring it up to a good height. 1/2 cm or 1/4 inch. The tleds are a bit too long aswell. I will either drill holes left and right, or just to the outside, as not to have any light drain into the bloom area... Oh, and I will be sucking the (hot) air from above the clw ss550 across to under the propogator. Just using an inline fan via semi straight pipe.

This morning @ 7:00 I started the drill, sander, electro tools. Most holes for ducting are drilled. Just waiting for 2 ea 1,5m long straight, nonflexable tubing. Should arrive today, and a 120mm drill for the fan flanges.
Got the wood filler sanded down. Will install heat rope/adhesive once drilling is done and all is cleaned up. Still need to decide where to install electric plugs and furthermore, the controllers/weatherstations etc.
Once the tubing/fans are installed, I can go ahead and install a shelf type apparatus in the upper chest, and then install the sound proofing. (Nipple foam)
My only iffy thought, is that the cooling ducting runs right through the hot area. Hope the velocity of the cooled air is enough as not to linger/heat it while flowing through the hot area...
