Hi! im looking for advice for my plants I’m brand new to growing and I’m running into the issue of the small round leaves turning yellow and/or developing brown spots And some have brown streaks on the bottom of their stems. I was wondering if its the ph of my water (which I believe might have been a little high) but there are so many possibilities I’m a little overwhelmed!

here’s some info that may or may not be important.
the strain is white queen they’re around 4-5weeks I think.
I also haven’t given the any fertilizer yet as I was told to wait until I had 4 leaves with three points.. the pots are around 5 gallons And we’ve been leaving them outside except for on cold nights (i live in the okanagan so it’s a bit of a drier climate). I also had one seedling die about two weeks ago from what I thought was damping off because it got super thin in one section then toppled over and withered away but so far it seems like that didn’t spread to the rest of my plants! (I do have one small nearly looking plant where the leaves are kinda twisted but he seems healthy apart from that)

thanks so much for taking the time to read/reply, hopefully I haven’t missed anything as I said I’m brand new to growing and a little overwhelmed so any help is amazing!

What kind of soil is it? I would transplant into Happy Frog or something.

Okay thanks for the advise!
This was about a week ago when I transplanted my plants because they were turning yellow. It was some cheap dirt, Kellogg's, I transplanted them into HF. They were all dying. The real green ones I took all the dirt off the roots, transplanted them and in about 3-4 days, the were green and are thriving right now...2-3 more days later. I can take an updated picture if u wanna see them

I use promix organic herb & vegetable. It's actually pretty good. As @oldsmokey said the cotyledons usually turn yellow and die off when they're not needed any more. It can also look like the skin of the plant is turning brown and dying, then peeling off when this happens. It's entirely normal.
I also have some plants in promix organic moisture mix. I bought it by mistake, but when I checked it out it was pretty close to the herb & veg, so I decided to try it. It's working pretty well so far.

I think the soil you mentioned has a slow release fertilizer also a wetting agent neither is desirable for marijuana growing. Pro mix HP is excellent but has no nutrients you have to feed it. Doesn't mean they won't work just not the ideal medium to use.
You may be thinking of the non-organic version of the moisture mix, as far as wetting agents go. I don't have the bag anymore, but I found an ingredient list on their website.
I've been using the herb & veg soil for years. I don't know what the difference between organic slow release and regular slow release is. I do know that it hasn't harmed my plants so far.

I just checked there website and you are correct. Actually looks like pretty good soil. I was thinking of the organic moisture mix. Thanks for setting me straight.

These are the first I've bought from them. The Blue "Widow", Pineapple Express #2, and Black Amnesia Haze Fast. I also got an "Amnesia" auto freebie from them.
The ones in quotation marks are ones that have a different lineage from the usual. They flat out said that the BW was Blueberry x Cheese, and the Amnesia was White Russian x Lowryder #2, but I didn't notice until my order was on the way. I'm not really angry, as none of them are strains I've grown before, but I would've liked to know beforehand. The seeds were also half price in a pre-420 sale, so not a huge investment or anything. I'm going to have to save the BAHF. I wasn't expecting to grow a couple of the plants I have going.

Sorry if we're highjacking your thread OP, we older guys go off on tangents sometimes.

The Amnesia auto didn't grow. She popped, a taproot poked out, stopped growing, then 2 weeks later when I dug her up, the tip had turned black.
The other two had started to poke above the soil in 2 days (I germ them in peat pods these days). This'll be the test grow for me. If they do well I'll consider getting them again, when they're on sale. The questionable lineages bug me a bit, so if I go for standard price seeds, I'll be looking at different breeders.
The 2 plants from their seeds are pretty vigorous so far though.

Wow thanks so much for all the responses! knowing that they’re supposed to die off makes me feel so much better haha :) someone I know recommendEd the organic pro mix and said it didn’t have any extra butrients added but I wasn’t Sure so thanks!

Haha No problem it’s cool to hear the pros talk :)
