Help please white fluffy stuff!?

is it cool that theres white fluffy stuff growing on top of the compost around my plant!? Someone said put cinnamon on shud I do that???

Beneficial fungus is good for the soil as it helps to break down and transport nutrients to the plant. However if it is growing on top it might be a little damp. Are you letting the soil dry out thoroughly before watering? Pics?

I hav no pics atm I am on tablet cant upload and ye I think iam watering too much I heard the top should always be damp... so I just scrape it off add new soil then water like evry other day as appose to daily yes?

For an established plant your soil should dry out completely, then you water thoroughly. You definitely don't want your soil damp all the time!

Are you reusing this soil? I had that happen when I have been reusing my soil too much... I got mushrooms growing.. and the white stuff.

The white stuff is also in all my soil out my grow bag lol

Good question and gr8 answers. What would happen if you just turned the white stuff under? Would it die off or just spread. Because its on top methinks it needs air to live?

Nothing's gonna happpen. You're just gonna spread the spores
