The Hemp Road Trip is creating a feature length documentary to provide education about the versatile yet often misunderstood crop.
While the plant is federally legal, the Drug Enforcement Administration, as well as state and local law enforcement, remain confused and arbitrarily interfere in domestic commerce, even while citizens nationwide are dispelling propagandist fear about it, according to Hemp Road Trip organizers.
The Hemp Road Trip bus and crew recently visited 48 states, including Colorado, in their quest to end federal prohibition of industrial hemp.
Education and awareness are considered key to expanding opportunities for the industry, and the new documentary is intended to help with that effort.
