Here We Grow Again: LALG's 2018 4x4 DWC LED

Well Charlies ph has continued to drop, down to 5.3 this morning. Her ppm's are raising as well so that tells me she is drinking more than she is eating. Her leaves look like there is a potassium deficiency but I think a deficiency would be being caused by incorrect ph, not lack of nutrients in the reservoir. I have also been wondering why she hasn't been bulking up like I thought she should. I kind of think her buds are a bit airy because of whatever this issue is. She has been flowering for probably 6 weeks now. I hope the flush sorts everything out and she is able to finish strong. We'll see :cheesygrinsmiley:

Love the purple man... Bought a couple strains that get some purple that I'm hoping to get within a couple weeks a gorilla glue which can get some purp leaves and a strain called purple bud that can get completely purple caxyls. Plus some others but those are the only ones that are more known to get purp I believe.

Thanks! Everyone who has seen it has been astonished by the way it looks. I only have a tiny bit and I'm trying to actually let it cure so only a few have actually smoked it. I went crazy for cosmetics on my first couple seed orders and just got strains that would turn purple and white and look really cool lol. I just wanted some crazy stuff that I had only seen in magazines and videos. After my first order I educated myself on autos, sativas, indicas, thc and cbd content, yield, flowering time, and so on. Probably should have done that the other way around but, oh well, I ended up with a bunch of interesting strains. Live and learn and grow purple plants :laughtwo::)

Charlies flush ended today. His ph had dropped for three days of the flush, then this morning it had risen a little bit. I went ahead and gave him a small batch of nutes, ppm was around 315 and ph was at 6.1. I hope it solved his issues. I still think it was a potassium deficiency caused by ph problems. Not only were the leaves showing issues but it looks like my buds started to stretch some. I have included a picture of what I think is a "stretched" bud. We'll see if the flush and low dose nutes does the trick. Here are some pics...

Going to do a water change today. Got some more shots of my mite killing soldiers :cheesygrinsmiley:
The clone and purp are ready to harvest whenever, I just need to go to wal mart and get some baking soda and lemon juice so I can try my first attempt at bud washing.

Thanks Auto. Glad to see you're around, lots of good folks and good info on this site. Can't wait to see how those siblings do, shouldn't be much longer now!

Love those lady bugs! I did not see any this eve but that's okay, I know they are in there somewhere helping me out. I harvested the little charlie clone and my last purple express. Big Charlie is all alone in there now. I went and bought a brand new dehumidifier and put in the tent. The rh still got up to 84% and the dehumidifier removed 30 pints of water from the air in 12 hours of darkness! And it still got to 84% in there! I can't believe it filled up that fast and it still got that high. I wonder, is it just because he is so massive he puts out that much water at night? Do I need a 50 or 70 pint dehumidifier? He drinks at least a gallon a day, I guess that water has to go somewhere. Thoughts?

I am still having leaf issues as well. And the ph is dropping still, down to 5.3 today. Water changed 2 days ago ph was at 6.0. It dropped to 5.7 yesterday and 5.3 today. PPM's stayed the same at around 380. I guess he is just drinking and drinking. He may just be using up all his remaining resources in the leaves maybe. He is about 7 or 8 weeks into flower. Could the water on the leaves from the high humidity be frying my leaves when the lights kick on? The upper leaves are starting to get crispy. Weird things are happening, I've never grew a plant this size before. I am thinking these problems I'm dealing with may be unique to large indoor plants, but idk, thats just a guess. Anyway, enjoy a few pics...

Thanks freak! I talked it over with another grower and he suggested maybe opening the tent at night. I tried it for 2 nights, rh got to 71% and 64% respectively. I also put an oscillating stand fan in there and have fans blowing up through the canopy for max air flow. We'll see what happens next I guess lol.

:passitleft:

Well the rh has topped out at 54% and 52% the last two nights. Muuuch better than the 70's and 80's. Looks like opening the tent up may have helped. Still having leaf issues. Charlie is drinking 2-3 gallons a day! I would say he'll be done in the next couple weeks so I'm not too worried about the leaves. As I've said before, we'll see what happens :cheesygrinsmiley:

Three days later, still hard at it. I have been washing everything as it comes off the plant. It has made the process of harvesting a bit longer but I think it will be worth it, especially after using azamax. I expected to have it all done by now but its a labor of love so it takes however long it takes :cheesygrinsmiley:

Alright, finally got all the trimming done. Recruited a good friend with some experience to help. It was interesting seeing his technique versus my lack of technique :laughtwo: About half is in jars starting to cure, the other half has another day at least to finish drying. Honestly, it was a bit sad to see Charlie come down. We have spent about 8 months together : ( lol. It will be nice to get something else going though. Speaking of which, I have 5 CKS Cali OG/Haze in the paper towel right now. I have been wanting to try a sativa :cheesygrinsmiley: This should be a good one. So, as promised, pics. Charlie and I had a photoshoot, the result being the incoming photo bomb...

These are just the pre harvest photos. I have some of washing and will have some of the dried, finished product soon.
