Hey guys and girls long time medicinal and social /gamer infusing toker here just wanted to share my little grow and hopefully get some tips so i grow some nice dank bud! I have grown a few times over the years the last time being around 10 years ago so I am pretty new to growing you could say. I like to do my research and try and not just jump into things so hopefully i have not done anything too wrong :wall:.

My set up is as followed:

-Big Buda grow tent 100x100x200
-Wilma 18l 4 pot dripper system (when they are big enough)
-Vipaspectre 600 Reflector series LED grow light. ( Plurple chinese my kinda price range HAHA) Good bang for buck I have heard though?
-Carbon filter and cyclone 4" 2 speed extraction fan. Carbon filter has AUS mined carbon so i think its good enough?
-ORA 8" 2 speed hydroponic fan
-5L Ram Air ultrasonic humidifier ( not a humid enviroment yet)
- 3 temp and humidity dials. one at plant level digital one, 1 and top of tent and 1 midway both old school gauged ones
-Very very high grade washed coc coir with perlite medium for hydroponics
- X1 PH pen and Advanced Nutrients Sensi Coco grow Part A + B

I started with 6 seeds ALL photoperiod OG candy dawg kush seeds from seedstockers. I Was an IDIOT and over wet them and basically dampened them down and ruined them. The starter cubes i had were way to wet but one of these plants did take off and grew fine to an extent.
The following week i received another 5 seeds, all photoperiod 1 banana glue, 1 LA confidential and another 3 OG candy dawg kush's . After learning from my 1st mistake I have now germinated all these seeds to the following plants below photoed, The large one being the only 1 to survive from the drowning I gave those poor little girls. ( IM GOING TO HELL NOW )
The roots were popping out the new starter cubes very quickly so i decided to put them into like 0.7l pots as seen to stop them from getting burned by the light (which is still on the veg only mode single switch on) The all seem to be very slowly putting down roots? The small plants were only planted (paper towel method) a week today so they are 7 days old from planting. The larger one is 2 weeks old but from the hard wet start i gave her she could have an extra set of leaves but They all seem to be growing now, they seem to look positive?

Currently 18 hours of light ,6 dark, feeding once a day to a small run off with a very small amount of nuts as per label. sitting at 65% humidity and 24c /74f ish? feeding at the natural ph of the weakly mixed nutes Roughly 6.7 ph... getting a run off of around 6.7 ish aswell can remember exactly but its very similar...

**ANY SUGGESTIONS OR TIPS WELCOME! OH AND BTW I WILL ONLY BE KEEPING 4 LADIES OF THESE 6 PLANTS I AM JUST WAITING TO SEE WHO IS THE CREAM OF THE CROP GIVING THEM ALL A CHANCE! ;D

Hello and welcome to the community. Some nice equipment you got there
Hey bro thanks for the look! I can see your also an LED grower nice grow you have going on 8D! Got any pro tips for growing with LEDS? Do you think my vipaspectre 600 reflector series light will handle flowering this 1mx1m tent with 4 ladies in it doing a SCROG? Also at what stage would you turn on both light switches both bloom and veg i heard they grow a lot better when exposed to the full spectrum of light an early stage. Thanks in advance again

The light should flower your girls just fine. On my blurple lights I run both switches on from seed as you lose half the power by switching one off.

A QB light from Mars or BudgetLED will be easier on eyes and looks better in pics.

Both companies have discount available.

Nothing wrong with your light but if you enjoy growing you will be itching to expand. LoL i know I am.

Sadly this space is all i can use within my house so basically I am stuck in these there walls and my climate does not allow outdoor growing. The main reason I went for this particular light was because of some YT videos and research I did on medium price ranged 600w LED lights. This one crept up a lot along with MARS etc. Basically I am looking to SCROG 4 plants in this tent and try and produce as much bud while staying VERY high quality. Quality is the main goal for me then quantity. Do you think I would benefit from 2 of the same light in my tent or would that be overkill? Based on my goals.. Thanks very much man <3

With light in middle of tent with it hanging at about 16", is it reaching the edges of the tent. If it is you should be fine if it is dark on edges you should grab another one.

Main problem is the spread.

If it was me I would have 2 of those lights in the tent. And you will have great coverage. You could do with the one but two will be perfect. It is not overkill. If you can get that second one and you will be happy with results.

Did you or are you going to start a journal? Would love to follow and watch how tou get along.

I agree, 2 is perfect. 4 is overkill. 2 will fill in that tent nicely I would say... Looking forward to seeing the grow!
:passitleft:
Great man thanks for the input, That is now 2 seasoned growers who have tipped on the 2 lights and I am a non stubborn learner (sometimes:cough:) and shall take this forward! I am going to get 2 of the same light in time for flowering, however my next question is do I get a 2nd of the exact same :hippy:*BLURPLE*:hippy: light or do I get another colored one like a white one Samsung one?
I also have a de-humidifier for when things get hot and sweaty and i was also thinking about purchasing a small intake fan fore the bottom of the tent as really plan to fill out the tent with some care full SCROG-ING. I was also thinking of making a wire kit to bulge out the sites kind of like an expansion kit for an extra bit of flowering room even a few inches in the mid level of the tent ( copied idea from a more expensive tent )

same message above applies for yourself :thumb:

Yes I also would match light. And the as far as the expansion kit. I use cheap plant ties that are rubber coated. Others on here have shown off using ties as expansion arms, its all in how you form it. Not sure who it was but it is here somewhere.

Happy growing

It's called LST(low stress training). Google or YouTube it.

This forum is full of information as well. Search it here as not many videos on LST ever show expansions being used they mainly show tieing down the plant not spreading her out.

This is LST on an Auto

And this is result of using expansions.

Anything you do to the plant that doesn't stress her out is called LST it is a broad term so searching LST looking for examples of expansions. Good luck.

Maybe in future link the vid your talking about it would help out the OP better than a random comment IMO

Yeh low stress training was my plain and then put up a scrog net before flower and maybe another a bit further up..not sure yet whats best I havent SCROGGED before. Thanks very much for the info guys much appreciated <3

Another little Update with how they are looking now after only a few days.. 1 of the girls seems to no be growing much so I am going to say its a useless runt! But also one of the nice wee ones has drooped it leaves a bit.. Its not too wet i do not think and i have made sure the soil at the bottom is loose with a small toothpick also made sure the small holes at the bottom were no clogged either.. not so sure. looks nice and green tho...
