Hi and Thank You

Moved to Greece last year to a house with a large sunny garden and it seemed an ideal opportunity to try my hand at growing (mixed borders, roses and veg too!). Back in the UK, never even grew a houseplant. This site and all you incredibly friendly folk have been invaluable so I've signed up to say 'THANK YOU'. Got a bunch of seeds sent from a reputable Dutch supplier and made every newbie mistake - wrong soil, planted outside too early, over-watered, fed them too young - and lost them all. Ordered some more. Now I've got 4 feminized outdoor plants and a dozen autofems in the Greek sunshine at at between 1 and 4 weeks. Every day both my plants and you lot teach me loads. And such a wonderful spirit between everyone. Faith in humanity...and all that. Thanks to all at, and members of, 420.

You are very much welcome Mr. Teddy and please come in and feel at home. And don't worry about the mistakes, we all make them and wi continue to make them. Happy to hear you have things under control now. Would love to see your grow, we're consider starting a grow journal? It's a great way to showcase your efforts and get assistance from some of the many experienced growers here. I'm fairly new here and starting my grow Journal was one of the best decisions I've made. Just wanted to stop in and say welcome to 420!!

Happy growing.

Well, what a lovely welcome. Cheers, Tamir. Hmm..a journal...I could certainly do with all the advice I can get. Don't know if it would be "showcase my efforts" or more likely "ask for sympathy". Hell, let's do it. *grabs camera*...

That's what I like to hear!! It's not about how advance we are or how much help we need. It's all about the love of the grow. I added a few links to my signature below that should help you get started. When u do come by my grow(also below) and let me know so I can put in my 2 cents and enjoy some good ole bud porn.

*cockney accent* Gawd blimey guv'nur and no mistake. You are a welcoming bunch. Never been much of a joiner of anything but jolly pleased I joined 420. The Wife can't believe I've actually signed up to a site on the web. Thank you all *doffs flat cap* Thanks Tamir for the links. On my way to them and your journal now. I'll figure out how to start my little story too. Now there are just some tiny babies that need moving into the evening sun.....:thanks:

Well Good Evening, brightlight and thanks for the howdi. I can tell you about the climate. You can tell me if it's good to grow. (You must understand that EVERYTHING about bringing up the little 'uns is new to me). I'm on the Greek mainland, about 300km north of Athens (a stunning bit of Greece, relatively undiscovered by Europeans), looking over the sea at 400m. The winters have plenty of snow (grow room planned for winter, but that's another bunch of questions from me...) but summer days - like today - get into the 30-35 degree range. Sunshine almost guaranteed May to October, with occasional heavy - and dramatic - evening storms. I face south-west, so plenty (too much for a mere human) of direct sun. About 12 hours a day currently. Nicely isolated and surrounded by forest which is full of lovely humus soil which I'm also using for all my veg and flower seedlings and pots. I'll bung all the details on a little grow journal later with pics. Meanwhile, thanks for your interest. I can't believe everyone here seems so, well, just so NICE. Cheers.

Hey guys! Just wondering if anyone can give me feedback. My babies are like 6-8 weeks old and one of my plants has some leaf discolor. My grow room is like 80-90% and I'm using a 125watt cfl with reflector & 4 60watt CFCs around my four plants. I also have Mylar sheeting laid out. The humidity reads 30%. Here's a few pics. I'd really appreciate some truthful feedback.
