How Dark?

I was just wondering how dark it needs to be when the lights are off when you're budding plants on 12/12 light cycle

Should be no light to plants when in 12 hours of darkness. You can use a green light to see your plants or work in grow room when lights are off.

The light of a full moon is a good guide, be carefull though people are not good judges of light levels. If you can see the fingers on your hand but not make out any details, like seeing your nails, then you are most likely okay.

If I have the doors closed on my closet it is completely dark, but it gets real hot in there with the door closed so I keep it open when the light is on. I plan on closing the door when the light is off, but I might not always remember to close it right away so it wouldn't be completely dark. Kinda dark, but not pitch black.

This is probably more of an exhaust/cooling issue. hopefully when its all set up I will be able to keep the door shut.

well in this grow i try to give 100% dark but i think it 60-80 dark and it was
amazing teasting smaeling and everything was good.
i now thet if pay attention on havrithing it is the way to get 100% success .
but i think thet is enough .

If anything this is better then just going from bright to dark because it could represent the sun going down. I forget to shut my door on time all the time, but only usually for like 20 min to a half hour.

Just check for leaks.

I use clothes pins to seal seams.
