If you have old eyes like myself and cannot tell the difference in tric color in a loupe, then go by the percentage of hairs that are brown. This is Old School, BTW, before we knew about trics. Average is 70 - 80% brown for peak THC. Go past that, and it degrades in to more CBN, which some people prefer for a body high.
