How do I know when my seeds are ready to pick?

Do I have to wait for the pods to split or is there some other way to tell. I've seen some pods split and the seeds are dark and readily fall out, and I've manually opened some pods to find seeds ready, and some still light colored.

How now brown cow?

Thank you for the reply :smokin:

Out of the 10 lowryder2 seeds I only had 2 female so I made seeds with both.

There will be plenty of plant material for me to smoke. The trichs are cloudy and ready, I just didn't want to pull the plant too early to get the most seeds.

These have been outside in 14.5 hours of direct full sun outdoor light in fox farm soil with excellent nutes. They've grown to about 15" tall and have some heavy branches, but I think the 1 oz per plant figure is more than a little optimistic.
