How many lumens do I need to grow 1 or 2 plants?

hi attempting my second grow I grew in the past. I will be using all CFL's I have 6500k 9600 lumens and can add more if needed. I am using Pro-Mix BX Biofungicide + Mycorrhizae Peat Based Growing Medium Potting Soil.

the growing space is small and is only for 2 plants max

in a 2' by 2' space with lights above to grow up to 4 ft will 9600 lumens do ? if not how many more lumens do I need?

I know I will have to switch all lights to 2700k but hope to have a mini hps by then.

You might get better answers for wattage not lumens.
I like 90 watts per square foot myself ;-)

well I have all together 136watts producing 9600 lumens from the cfls. I was thinking about getting a few more cfls to make it a higher 182watts with 12,800 lumens.

Going to be on the low side for 4 square
Feet but should work.
For upgrading I would suggest a led over cfl.
