how many watts hps?

how many watts hps light would I need for a small grow room? (size: 3 feet wide 2 feet deep and 5 feet tall) and how many plants should I try growing in this size space? thanks for any info.

thanks for the reply... I was thinking 2 or 3 plants and I will try the 250 watt. also will I need a ballast for that size light?

I would suggest only doing 2 plants in that small of an area, I would say probibly a 250w HPS would do the trick, if you spent another 100 bucks on a Cool tube you could go with a bigger light. A cool tube is going to be my next lighting investment.

i have a 1000watt mh and holy shit was that hard, i felt like i was getting sun burnt...it sucked. but damn could i tell the differance in a matter of days. iam going to get rid of the hood i have and go with a cool tube. i wonder do they sell them seperate or in a kit?
