How much does oil making smell?

I'm planning on making a batch of oil with a slow cooker, just wondering will it be stinking to high heavens? I have neighbours to worry about...

yep, it is pretty odoriferous. It would be a good time to cook cabbage and liver and onions to help cover it up... give the neighbors something to talk about.
