How to LST

So I tried to lst my one plant just tying it down. I think I destroyed the plant. I’m not sure how to tie it down without letting the leaves touch dirt when they practically touch the dirt before tying it down. I just don’t get it guys. I did it just like every other YouTube video and mine looks way different. There is no other stem growing up to the top like I’ve seen before. No new stems even could have grown up where it was bent because as you can see. It’s just all leaves there is no stem that would have grown upwards. So I untied it. It’s very confusing my plants don’t look like any other I’ve seen before there’s just gigantic leaves everywhere. I couldn’t tell if it was tired down right or not.

Use a pipe cleaner and run one low to the ground from the left. Then higher up one from the right. Use the one higher up to gently bend the top.

That way the bottom stem is straight up and the top leans.

The idea being to get the top cola, the one that would be dominant lower than the others.

I have a lot of luck topping and LST, top at the 4th or 5th node then use pipe cleaners to spread and tie down the limbs. Get as much light down through the limbs as possible. Done right you get 8 or 10 huge colas.

I just finished twisting my girls all up. I’ll post up the pics. I can’t really see what you have done the pics are so dark but sometimes you just have to cut off those big ol’ leaves. I strip my girls like pole dancers to allow the light to hit my bud sites. Hopefully you’ll be able to see in the pics. Keep the faith it’s kinda freaky the first few times you twist them up. Just make sure you water them before you start bending them so the stems don’t snap on you. Sorry if I’m just repeating what everyone else has told you but abusing my girls is my favorite part. Remember it’s a weed and not that fragile and as long as you don’t snap the limb you’ll be fine…. :circle-of-love:
