HPS/MH Lighting Distances?

Hey!

I am upgrading my lighting system from a x8 6500k t5 fixture to a 600w HPS/MS fixture. I was curious if anyone could give me an estimated distance needed between the light fixture and the plants?

My grow room is about 6ft long x 4ft wide x 7ft tall.
