Humidity dome

hiya i was wondering instead of buying a humidity dome can i juat take some plastic see through thing and use that instead

Well lets hear your situation first.

Basically, if you can hold the moisture and humidity in, while also allowing the light to penetrate, you've successfully created a humidity tent/dome. Simple as that.

I created a clone dome with an aquarium. Just cut the screen out of the top and replaced it with seran wrap. Worked but I had to mist the clones several times a day which I dont have to do with my current clone dome.

^ I also mad one out of an aquarium. However mine was of the smaller ones and didnt have alot of air space. So i didnt have to mist mine alot, i only did it once a day. Just that much water should create a humid enviroment.

plastic bottles with the top cut off work great for me! after 10-20 days its a rooted plant =)

ohh i dont worry about airholes.. and i stick the bottles in pretty tight lol.
itll get plenty just seeping in and out through the soil.

makes lots of constant humidty action at about any temp!
well is best at 75-90 and keeping the soil moist through the whole rooting process.

just take the bottles off for a bit every couple days, for fresh air to kill mold.. and spray em then too! =)

you can tell its ready when you can take the bottles off for a long time
when airing it out and it never wilts anymore.
