I just gave someone whos lights are still out till this day info. I figure npoone ever heard of long periods of darkness being stressful on plants. So I figure why not leave them in the dark until your able to get them the light they need. Better then changing environments that will cause stress, even changing lighting will cause stress

appricaite the info wiz!. my powers been back for 3 days now. i only lost power for 10 hours. 4 being lights off. soo i dodged a bullet

maybe get something like this?

Cobra Cpi 880 inverter, 12 Volt DC To 120 Volt

and a 12 volt car battery and a cfl

ive also heard that they can run on DC. so if you have 120v just salvage 10 car batteries from a scrap yard or abandoned cars and run them (parralel/serial cant remember) to run a cfl for an age
