Hydro Clay Pebbles

clay pebbles are 'clay'...inert mineral, no sucking and no contamination,

but clean with bleach and hot water first, then rinse again before use

I assume you are referring to hydroton - leca (lightweight, expanded, clay, aggregate). I would water/feed it daily, the hydroton will retain water, it would take a couple of days to completely dry out. Once the roots grow into the reservoir you're good. Remember to keep the water cool.

Will clay pebbles work in a DCW system. It says to keep water 1 inch above the basket level,so my question is will the clay pebbels retain and draw the water up to the plant when I put the seedlings into the media?:thumb::thanks:

That's what I use. Check either of my journals in my sig to see how well they work.
