it absolutely could fall off
just has to be an issue right there at the joint,, where the plant meets whatever that is,, and it looks very wet right there too
no idea how to help that, if there is a way at all. possibly could be a plant specific issue, but i doubt it

Looks like the damping off that happens occasionally in soil due to a fungal disease and being too wet... didn't know it could happen in hydro too.

during the early stage of its life, it bent, as u can see in the pic, but it look okay before. now its doesn't look so good. the rest of the plant seem to be fine. growth doesn't seem to be affect much, but im scared it might get dried and just fall off.
the other brown spot is the coco medium. im using it to hold up the plant so it doesn't bend so much.,

The plant looks healthy. Can you completely cover that area in darkness? 
Exposure to light will harden up the surface area turning what would otherwise be putting out roots. If light hits it, it becomes part of the stem system.
