I put all 16 girls in
6 in Rockwool
6 in peat pellets
As picture shows after 4 days
All the peats came up but not one in Rockwooli only have the one room with 600 watt Mars hydro
There stretching bigtime

WHAT CAN I DO PLEASE

Should I start putting some nitrosol in watering at 4 MLS per 5 litres
They are going into coir,perlite and a bag of vermiculite for the sake of it

remove the dome and drop a blue spec CFL or T5 they will grow quicker and turn green

it will be an over kill even shop bought small cfl daylight will work better , less power used also , 3 or 4 for now would do until you get them up and green with few true leaves

What about if I turn the big light on but put a few layers of mesh screen to dull the light while they are seedlings

your wasting power my friend seedlings do not do well in strong leds , if you keep it high they will just keep stretching for the light then they will be hard to keep down , with cfl you can go 5 inch above and keep the plants SQUAT

Ok I knocked this gadget up this morning with bits and pieces I had on hand
The only bulbs I have are Tornado 24 wtts
I'm in a small town so I only have bunnings,so what are the best CFLs at bunnings for my girls
Some advice would be great

perfect you want day light bulbs , start with two bulbs then work up , keep about a foot high first these will get them going better

Lose the dome. Domes are for clones. Dim your Mars to 75-100 watts and drop to 18.
Not for nothing, I transfer my Jiffy's to pre-moistened 5 gal pots day after sprout. Organic soil auto grower.
