I need help. LED question

i need the opinion of 420 whether or not this is worth pursuing...

i have a bunch of led christmas lights i got for like $2 a strand and there is 70 on them. if i bunch them up and put them right on top of seeding/small vegging plants will it help?? or will i be wasting my time? the lights are "cool white" and i have a couple strands of blue. i am currently vegging with a 65w cfl from seedling to 2 weeks.

Wont work well at all.

LED grow lights are very specialized, high output super LEDs. And their performance is still questionable. I wouldn't waste your time.

Ditto McBudz post. Not near enough output. Those are measured in miliwatts it would take about 300-500 of them to equal 1 watt.

better off with that 65w cfl, arent those like 6000 lumens? not that lumens mean everything...
