Yeah its such a tease just sitting and watching these juicy nugs ripen..These so far have been a beautiful plant to run, and they just keep growing and growing.... I am definitely going to run this holy grail og again..such a beautiful plant...trimming though, will be a much different story....lol.

Looking great buddy, its hardest time waiting for these last moments of ripening but yet its one of the most important times for your marijuana in bringing out its true medical properties. You have done yourself a great job here brother those fat nuggets are Oozing with frost and coming to there final weeks of life cant wait for harvest!

Well Today is day 84 and these Holy Grail OG's are fighters!!! LOL..they do not know when to quit growing and mature....lol... today after there watering they seem to have grown thicker and healthier overnight and tons of new white pistol's have showed up, as well as I noticed some foxtailing going on!! The temps have been high 70's, rarely even touching 80's so I don't think its heat stress...maybe genetic?
Today's trichome forcast is mostly clear with a little bit of cloudy rolling in....
Og101's also have perked up a little, and have shown bursts of white pistils shooting outwards too... they just don't want to fully recover, and don't want to give up either... I made the mistake of removing too much foliage, and the lockout took care of the rest, so the plant doensnt have too much in the way of producing energy, but still is hanging in there, and new growth seems pretty healthy... so I am going to wait for amber before pulling her...
My kali Kandi secondary buds are slowly thickening, still not much compared to before the chop, but still shooting out white pistils and buds are filling out...not really sure how much extra I will get out of her, giving her a few additional weeks, but figured since the lights were running anyways, why not squeeze out a few extra grams, as well as try it a little more mature...

Here are the final weigh in's for the 3 plants I chopped on 1/21...dried for 3-4 days and have been curing/burping ever since. The buds I would say are around 80% dry so I do still expect to lose some weight, but overall I doubt it will be at this point more than a few grams...
I also have sampled each of these drying buds, quite a bit.. (couldn't help myself) so I would say probably another 4-9g's of each have been smoked, not included in the dry weights...

So overall not too shabby for my side plants, my xj was locked out for quite a while so wasn't expecting much from her. My OG101 also was a weird one, still not sure if she was just very damaged due to early stunting, or hermied (haven't found any seeds yet) but still managed to produce 2 oz, not going to be the best headies, no smell or flavor really, but she packs a punch and is smooth as air... The Kali Kandi actually was pretty supprising, she really lost a ton of weight, really expected more out of her, but there also still is a good oz or 2 left on her yet to finish maturing.... so overall she did me well... definitely one I would like to try again...
Also I still have my Holy Grail OG's which really I am expecting to hit close to a pound the way they are looking, amazing plants... I also have my other Og1o1 which will most likely get pulled in the next 2 weeks, she is very heavy and should produce a good 2-4 oz dry.... I still am within sights of my 1.5 pound harvest...lets hope I blow it away..

Day 86 Flowering...
I switched out my 400w CMH bulb for my Ushio 400w HPS today. I am thinking that even though the CMH has full spectrum, it may have a little too much blue to help these ladies reach maturity faster...not sure if thats the case, but going to run the HPS for a week and see if it helps move these ladies along.
Also, off of DOCBUD's journal, I have been paying a lot of attention to the foliar feeding/high brix method of growing and decided last night to give it a try.. as the lights went off I gave a gentle misting to the girls.
I mixed up some R/O, DI water with some F1 fulvic acid, liquid carboload, organic B, and general organics cal/mag. I swear when the light's came on this morning the ladies said thank you...lol...
Other than the light change, everything else is the same, besides the ladies just keep getting thicker, larger and don't want to throw in the towel.

Gave the ladies a watering today of plain R/O, D/I water, ppm 001 as I want to start really leaching the remaining nutrients out of the plants and soil as well as not adding any additional nutrients.
I also switched out my 400w HPS bulb with my 400w CMH bulb to bring back the added UV spectrum. Day 95 flowering....feb 13th, there still growing!!!
Well not much to report on today, the Holy Grail OG's are still growing, and showing mostly clear trichomes and the OG101's also are still shooting out white pistil's and mostly clear trichomes, however the OG101 is not really putting on any extra weight, so I believe at the end of the week I am going to pull her down as well as the remaining kali kandi. The holy grail's I am going to keep running till then want to throw in the towel...or amber trichomes......

Well the OG101's are still pushing out white pistils but really not getting any bigger so as soon as the soil dries out, I should be giving them a yank as well as my secondary buds on my Kali Kandi.
I am debating on harvesting the largest cola's on the Holy Grail OG to give more energy and light to the lower budsites, to assist them in growing since they still seem to be putting on a lot of weight, but the main cola's are slowing down quite a bit.. Still clear trichomes however the leaves are all starting to purple/yellow and die off so hopefully she is within her final weeks..

Day 97 flowering, feb 15th, partial harvest
Hey everyone...
So today was a rainy day here in Socal and decided it was a good day to do a little harvesting and trimming.
My remaining OG101 was showing some cloudy/clear trichomes, but still just wasn't getting larger, fuller or really growing much in the last week or 2 so I decided it was time for her to come down. I took off all major cola's but left some of the healthier, stronger looking underbuds to see if they will swell and grow within the next few weeks, while waiting for my Holy Grail's to finish.
I also decided to harvest the rest of the Kali Kandi which I had pulled all of the cola's off about 3 weeks ago. She wasn't really swelling much but the trichomes did seem to mature more, will snap some photo's after she dries a few days.
Here are the Wet weight's of the harvest of today. I am sure that I will lose at least 60% on the OG101 and maybe more due to water loss and the stem weights.

My good sir, that's a lot of weight per plant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm going to try some LST action on my next grow for sure. I think it's safe to say that your journals make a very good case for LST being THE WAY to grow. Good work! I'm excited to see the dry weights of each plant.

i actually am using the same type of pot for my mother plants right now
now i was wondering if you could assist me since i am new to soil and this pot.
i use a 5 gallon
how much water should the plants get from the earliest stages to development ( i tend to only keep them as mothers for the time being)
i use FloraNova one part- grow and superthrive
i am trying to come up with a proper understanding on how to feed thru soil
especially with it benig 5gallon pots.
also, how do you test the run off of these pots? i must not put enough water for any to run out.. but am worried of overwatering
much is appreciated!

Ice, don't always count on that 50/50 amber trichs rule. I've had SEVERAL strains that were MUCH better when the trichs were clear/cloudy than amber. I see this alot it strains originating from equatorial areas.... Food for thought....Tester buds with a overnight dry can tell you more than any scoping of the trichs anyday...
