It seems they are a late plumper even give them an extra week one guy I saw in a vid said his tripled in mass by giving them a blast of food with a little extra n and adding a full week to what the breeders max number was I think he said he went to a full 10 weeks and was happy because he grew 3 cut at 8,9,and 10 the 10 week plant weighed 3 times the 8 week plant, so just wanted to share that ,plus I will get some gsc someday ,I have found that most every strain does really well with weight by giving that extra week I'm gonna start doing that with all of them for a while to verify my theory, I let my last blue dream go to 11 and I got quite a but more than I had before even tho my blue dream seems to be done at 7weeks it's usually got lots of amber I tried it and was impressed, I have to check herb IQ for exact numbers I think breeder fun a little to not discourage us from buying a strain due to finish time

I definitely am going to give them time to see what happens. I have to say even for the few small nugs this large plant produced, they are probably the most dense buds I have grown, even over all the OG's that I have run. I am guessing a little quarter size nug when all said and done will weigh in around 1.5grams or more. I talked to my norcal grower buddy and he has an outdoor farm. He said on most of his outdoor plants he was getting 3 or more pounds per plant and when he did GSC he only pulled about 1.5lbs so he decided to ditch the cuts after 1 run. I love the taste and the few "test nugs" i pulled off, and smoked were very very potent, so even if it ends up being a connesaur smoke, I may have to just grow or train her differently to maximize the yeild.

I really appreciate the tip on letting them go an extra few weeks. I have to say this strain has looked done for weeks not, very swollen calyx's with very few white pistils, but I have noticed that in the last 2 weeks they seem to slowly be adding girth and weight, so I am definitely going to run them as long as I can and see what happens. I feel bad because I cant keep up with all the journals like I used to, but still try to make a valued presence here and there. I always appreciate ya stopping thru!

It is slowly starting to fill out however I think it is near its end. It seems to me that once the buds start the second wave of pushing out white pistils, it seems the bananna's follow. I think that I may pull the GSC and the OGiesel soon since they seem like they are done.

Hey everyone, Day 67 of flowering update.

I looked at my tent the past few days and noticed that my OGiesel, as well as a little on my Cherry Pie and GSC were showing some type of sickness. I noticed that about a week ago I started seeing yellow spots all over the top fan leaves on the plants. Knowing that I had a problem with spider mites early off I decided to pull a couple of the leaves and check the undersides for signs of mites..but I found, no eggs and no mites. HMMM so I thought back to a few grows ago I had this same problem and it seemed to get progressively worse. I think it may be some type of bacteria like septoria, but the photos also don't look the same as what I have. To this day I still haven't figured out what is causing this and why it all of a sudden attacks viciously. I thought that maybe my soil was off or that too much salt had built up, but I have been flushing very often and drying up run off, so I don't think this is the case either. I will post photos but if anyone has any ideas, please let me know.

Anyhow, because the OGiesel seemed to be getting effected fast, I took all of the tops off and harvested them but left all the smalls and lowers on to thicken up and become denser before harvest. I also would like to possibly force some banana's so that I can get some pollen for future experiments.

After harvesting the tops I decided to do my 1st ever bud wash. Since I didn't have the ingredients for the one that many of the members have been using with lemon juice and baking soda, I did have a few bottles of SNS 311 which is very similar ingredients and used for the same thing. I Filled up a big rubbermade with cold water, used about 1/3 a bottle of the SNS 311 and threw the freshly chopped buds in. After they all soaked for about 20 seconds I agitated the buds gently, waving them up and down and back and forth in the wash and after each was done, put them on a surface to dry for a few moments. After all the buds were washed, I dumped the water out of the rubbermaid and filled it up with Hot water. (I think i did the hot/cold thing backwards..lol) I then again submerged the buds in the hot water for a few moments, agitating each one for a total of about 30 seconds, then I shook off all loose water and hung them in my drying closet. I decided to dry trim this batch so I didn't manicure or trim before hanging, just to see if I notice a difference.

Other than that I left the tent alone. The OG's are both looking very healthy and really putting on some weight as my OG's always seem to around day 70. This is why I typcially run my OG's for around 90 days because they swell so much in the next 2-3 weeks.

My Cherry Pie is still swelling a lot and I think she still has another 2-3 weeks in her as well, but I am watching close because I also noticed a slight leaf spotting so I will have to make sure it doesn't spread from here on out.

The GSC is also starting to fatten up slowly, still not impressed with the nug size however the look of the nugs is simply amazing. Such a beautiful bud structure and probably my most delicious looking strain to date I have grown. I will probably be letting them go another week or 2 and then will be harvesting all but the smalls.

I also placed an order for some of my soil amendments that were needing to be replenished as well as a few new ones. I decided to give these things a try in addition to what I have been using. I ordered:
fish bone meal (low N, high P, no K and High Ca),
Alfalfa meal (has some goodies that enhance plant vigor, health and stimulate growth),
Kelp Meal (lots of trace minerals, aminos, and growth hormones),
Crab meal (low N-Low P, and No K) which includes chitin which is also known to increase plant health and vigor, as well as lots of Ca.

I also picked up my SRP, lava sand, azamite which I have used in the last 3 grows as well. Overall I think this mix will be kick ass but I will have to see. Hopefully the delivery will get here soon because I need to mix my soil ASAP for my next rounds.

Hey Ice did you by any chance add a little bit more of something to your last foliar spray? Those spots look a lot like what happens when I mix Bloomit to strong. It usually takes a few days-a week after spraying to show through like that.

i was thinking same as curso, how much ca in your last foliar? check the roots in the end see if they are sick at all, and jon may be right it could be a micro def or toxicity at this late stage no biggy except to findout for future runs , the buds all look sick as sex (instead of f word)
i see an abundance of trichs and in the end isnt that what we are really growing? small buds have more trichs per sq inch id rather have a jar of grapes than golf balls in the end you need less to be medicated,so gsc will likely be just fine or the best, my last chemdawg had lots of small rock buds its everyones new fav cus they only need a wee bit to be flat on the floor and it was a sick plant!! next one will be a monster in a 10 gal smartie, yup you wanna "cook the buds" first then stop the heat with a near icy shock and bang goesthe buds! i just used sns too last time i sprayed the plant till it was dripping wet 3 times then rinsed it with ice cold distilled water in my sprayer same general effect super clean bud super clean taste!! you rocked this grow brother ice the led im using is a trich making machine every plant has massive frost long thick abundant trichs i just posted 15 new shots lots of pornbud cmon over n seethank you for sharing your fine growing skills with us i get a plant boner everytime i visit

Thinking back I don't believe I added anything new to the foliar sprays and pretty much use the same stuff every mix. I honestly think it may be similar to a leaf spot disease or possibly due to something with the soil but have absolutely no clue what causes it.

Good suggestion, I know it can't be Ca though because I use high amounts of cal/mag every feeding plus have a very heavily fortified soil with CaCO3 and gypsum. Very similar look though. HMMM

Hey BID!! wasssup brotha!! The GSC definitely is packed to the max with trichomes and dense little nuggies so I think overall even though a low yield, I think I am going to really like the final product. Definitely looks to be a connoisseur smoke which is what I prefer anyways I have been thinking it may be a perfect candidate for my v-scrog.. may have to pull it out of storage on a future grow to see how I can max out the yield. I was thinking a OGiesel, cherry pie, GSC scrog would be awesome but love always having OG on hand so will have to figure this one out. I wish I had room for my 3rd tent and I definitely would rock the vscrog all the time, such a handy way to max out a yield a

I thought I did the washing backwards, oh well, will still taste better than unwashed buds I am glad to hear that the SNS wash worked well for you. It seemed to be very similar to the budwash that everyone is using here, so I figure I can always do 1 and try the other method to compare

Glad to have ya stop through my friend, I definitely am going to be getting LED in the near future once my budget allows. I would love to rock some advanced LED along with TOP LED and have the best of both worlds. I also really like how the COB led's are looking so possibly may even consider those if they ever become available from TOP LED. those 5w ones also are kick azz and would love to have 2=3 of them running. Hopefully I will be able to get some kind of sponsored grow discount, would definitely make my purchase come sooner.
