So today make day 57 of flowering.....

The girls are still growing and still thickening up, and really haven't showed me that they are ready yet to check trichomes. There still fattening quite a bit by the day and some of the strains are still showing a lot of white pistils so I think they definitely are going to go for at least another 2-3 weeks, but only time will tell. My guess is around day 80 most of them should be ready.

The blue dream and churchberry stopped yellowing, and I still am not sure what was wrong, other than I think back when I was on business, flooding the soil may have reduced the nitrogen fixation going on in the soil, and therefore the plants may have been lacking since then. I gave them a compost tea feeding the last few days and today and for the next 2 days they will be getting a dose of D&S and epsom salts, and then after that back to compost teas for the remainder of the grow.

The butter I made was extremely strong...I'm talking 2 spoonfuls of butter into mashed potato's had me feeling like when I first started smoking back in high school....I was completely annihilated :)

Well here are today's photos :)

Well I was a long time user of General Organics and some General Hydroponics products.....they were great.... but I will no longer buy any General Hydro products or General Organics as just a few days ago they sold out to Miracle Gro who supports slanging Monsanto's poison. Sorry General Hydro....you just lost 1 of probably many customers....

Here's the text from the article
Source: Tom Knox Reporter- Columbus Business First

The Scotts Miracle-Gro Co. offshoot that targets young, urban gardeners has acquired a Santa Rosa, California-based hydroponics company popular with marijuana growers.

Hawthorne Gardening Co., a Scotts subsidiary formed in October, purchased General Hydroponics Inc. and Bio-Organic Solutions Inc.

Terms were not disclosed, but the acquisition should position the company in the growing marijuana market.Jim Hagedorn, CEO of the $2.8 billion Scotts (NYSE:SMG), said in May that marijuana, which is enjoying increasing acceptance in the U.S., is an opportunity to grow revenue and attract younger customers. He's been talking about the potential of the pot market since 2011.

General Hydroponics is “a major international supplier of liquid nutrients used to grow food, flowers and indoor marijuana,” according to the Santa Rosa Press Democrat. The company was founded 35 years ago by a medical marijuana advocate and now has manufacturing plants in California, West Virginia and France, the newspaper reported, although the founder said growing non-marijuana plants is the biggest market for the company.

High Times magazine said in a story analyzing the history of hydroponics that General Hydroponics’ plant food “ quickly became the standard for hydroponic growers and their meteoric success spawned many imitators.”

Hydroponic plants are grown without using soil.

Hey everyone!!!! Happy Weedkend!!!

Day 62 flowering is here!!! update time!

So things have been going good over the past week. I have slowed down my frequency of posting lately because I just have not has as much time and energy lately so I figured if I can at least post 1-2 times a week it still should show the progress in a good timeframe to notice the differences :) Also this is why I haven't been able to really venture off and explore everyones journals...forgive me :) but I have to make $$ and so my main focus right now is work.

Things in the garden lately are looking great as the girls continue to bulk up and gain girth and weight. I have noticed an increase of trichomes also which is great to see and I think the girls probably have another 2 weeks to go. Last run I pulled them a little early as the high was more "uppity" and I like the more 50/50 blend or even on the couchlock side....last thing I want to do is smoke a bowl after a long day at work and be energized :) lol... I need that slam me into the covers and tuck me in meds :) haha So I will run them longer than last grows. :)

The 2 purple plants look amazing and they really seem to be the healthiest of the batch along with my mystery kush showing very little deficiency signs or ailments, however my UVH OG, Blue dream and Churchberry are all showing some yellowing and my blue dream especially seems to be getting slightly worse, but the buds still are uneffected so I think I should be fine for harvest. Over the last week I was feeding them just compost tea and today and yesterday I started a earth juice tea with some added calcium nitrate to help supply some more N for the last few weeks of flowering, but this will be my last "feeding" of the girls and the rest of the waterings will be compost teas, and plain water with epsom salts.

Well here are the girls in all their glory today!

That's sad news to hear about GH selling out. Monsanto will soon control the marijuana industry as well. Very sad indeed. Beautiful plants by the way!

Yeah I really liked the General Organics line but I personally can't support any company that partners with any Big Corporate whos intention is not for the people... sucks but there are plenty of good grassroots companies out there to try :) I was shocked to see that news..... good reason to save seeds and genetics...who knows 5 years down the road what will happen to mainstream genetics once big corporate gets there hands in the game.

Re: Icemud's LED Overkill - 3x Advanced LED XTE 300s - Blue Dream - University Hills

For sure. It's only a matter of time. This is why I'm going to switch to living soil and not use bottled nutrients because its not necessary and its a huge marketing scheme.
