Indie Grower's First Ever Grow In Closet: White Widow Auto In Regular Garden Soil, 50W LED Bulb, Advice Always Appreciated

My opinion is to let them fall... cause no stress ... it only looks awful to you... its not hurting a thing because the plants natural cycle is to die at the end. Next time, maybe you can avoid some of this fade at the end with better nutrition all through. Each grow will get better and better as you dial this all in. That being said, look up lollypopping. Some people do trim all of that and more, just to get more airflow to the buds. As in most things in this world, there are several schools of thought on this subject.

I agree, several schools and several practices! Other day I watching a video on harvesting and this guy was splitting the stem in two, 10 days before the harvest, as he believes it encourages THC production in the plant. So many beliefs, some are verified and others are just individual practices. One thing I really like about you is that, you won't suggest until you have tried it.

I am sure and how this lady teaches you patience in life! Out of this world! I have become a very patient man in my real life and my wife is loving this new me.

And our baby "Bliss" is miraculously growing new growth everywhere! Not sure if this new growth will be able to mature by the harvesting?

It doesn't matter, that is proof that you managed to save her :)
Next seeds, ak I like and have grown.. Kush in general great weed, I am waiting on a OG kush at the moment.

popcorn buds... They add to the total weight and make good test buds... or you can pull them off. I prefer not to bother the plant at this stage though, and just enjoy what happens.

I surely want to keep them! This late, but finally she's recovering and wants to grow and I don't want to upset her anymore, so I am looking forward to see these popcorn buds making their way!

Thank you so much for motivating me throughout AB! Cuz of you two ladies, I am working on my next grow and I feel confident than before.

I ordered OG Kush only and received these instead. Been reading about this strain and some website says it is the most potent weed on the planet at the moment, haha! Not sure if it is the most potent or not, but I am really concerned about the genetics!

@Emilya @AngryBird

How should I guarantee the germination? I used the same method to germinate my previous seeds but only one got germinated i.e. Bliss!

I put my seed into luke warm water for at least 8 hours in the dark and then I transfer it to a paper towel, sealed in a zip pouch to retain moisture till it pops. I got one successful germintation through this method but lost two!

Do we have another method?

You place them in water, until they sink.
If you try to poke the seed and it doesn't sink, let it stay longer in water.
Then it goes in wet paper towel warm and dark..

That is a very good method, and the only problem that crops up now and again is with the paper towels. It is very important to rinse them out a couple of times in case they have been bleached... a lot of the cheap paper towels are made out of recycled paper and go through this process, and that bleach if not washed out can kill seeds. I have started to use sterile cotton balls instead of the paper towel, and have had very good luck with that method, even with seeds that have been stored in the fridge for 5 years or longer. You might also try soaking the seeds initially a bit longer than 8 hours... some go 24 hours.

You're so on point! I have observed that the paper towel I use lose moisture quite quickly and turn glossy, smooth and starts repelling water after sometime! How do you use cotton balls? Have you covered it anywhere in your thread?

I have been following the same method with 1/3rd success. I am sure my paper towels are turning against me

This lady is a beautiful sight these days! Delicious looking buds on the top and an explosive growth at the bottom. Everything that was stunted has resumed growing, like @Emilya said, they'll turn into popcorn buds soon. Just wanted to know, if I want this new growth added in my final yield, when should I harvest? Older buds have been maturing for quite sometime and this new growth has barely taken any shape! Should I be harvesting her in installments? Or all together?
