Hey everyone here is the beginning of the long journey for prosperous growth. I gathered bag seeds from a papaya strain and set 4 seeds up to germinate in a napkin and drenched water for 3 days.

Planted them to sooo cups for 12 days and moved to 3 gallon fabrics totes. Here is what I’m using:

Phizon 600w led $89 Amazon
32x48x60 grow tent $40 flea market!!!
Fabric 3 gallon pots $10 amazon
Expert Gardner soil $6 Walmart
Miracle grow plant food single serves $10
Circular fan $10 walmart
Vick’s steam vaporizer $15 Walmart

I have kept temps between 70-78 f and humidity between 60-75

I will try to post updates daily if I can but here are some pics for day 15

Hey everyone here is a quick update:

About to water these bad boys, have noticed that in the fabric pot the dirt dries quickly and the spray bottle won’t be much good any longer. When I watered one of the ladies almost uprooted.... too dry?

What’s y’all input?!

starting small plants in a large container makes it almost impossible to water correctly... water around them trying to wet the surface about 2 inches deep and then try to pour enough down the middle to just reach the bottom, but not pool on the bottom. This should get you going and get the roots established.... and once that happens, water correctly and definitely let them dry out all the way between waterings. That, contrary to some advice up above, is the ONLY way to develop a strong rootball and watering too often, never letting them dry at the bottom has killed many a grow.

Not a problem Advocate... we all have to start learning somewhere, and at least from me you can be assured that you will hear the unvarnished truth, not trying to hurt anyone's feelings, but also trying hard to get the truth out there in the midst of an entire internet filled with misleading information.
I agree, I will refrain more till more informed. I always prefer the truth.

They are growing nicely, I will be doing a complete update later today, don’t mind the 80 f on the meter I had moved it to check the plants but set it next to the heater. What do you guys think I believe this is day 27 from seed

Here is an update guys, everything so far has been going great!! I have been giving about 20 hours of light each day and will be switching to 18/6 today in preparation for flowering to a 12/12 in about 2-3 more weeks.

I still have not been about to sex them yet but keeping my fingers crossed!! I have keep ph between 6.5 and 7. I just switched to distilled water and will not be giving any nutes this week just to cleanse alittle.

Two of them are on a growth rampage and have been topped twice to help bush them up... I don’t want height but girth!!!

I have not had an issues except for some leave curling on the one in the back right but that was taken care of simply by backing the light up a little bit, about 24” to the top of the largest plant.

The lady in the back right has stunted a little so I dug in and retransplanted her and she is growning again. Tell me what you guys think?!?!?!

Sweet setup dude and I also agree with the watering I find letting my plants dry out then water on a cycle they are much happier. If you want a Bush thro a scrog net on them you could even get the soft ties or yarn and put tension on the branches tie them down start doing some "lst" lights at 18/6 give them a month an they will be huge bushes throw them into 12/12 flower and they double that's where I'm at right now with my grow I only have three, 2/3gallon 1/5gallon fabric pot they filled my 4x4 tent it's awesome lol

Seedlings do NOT like to dry out.
For the first 10 days they need to be kept moist, not wet, not dry.
I always plant germinated seeds directly into a 25 gallon fabric pot, then you water the plant not the pot.
First week I water with a syringe just enough around the seedling to keep the soil moist at all times.
If you have proper soil with good aeration in fabric pots its damn near impossible to overwater.

Some LST for the soul!!

Using pipe cleaners
