She's looking great! How close are those tops to the light? Any way you can tie down those taller tops? Pull them to the outside. I would be concerned with light burn at the distance. How far into flower are you? Maybe some super cropping on those tops? Or raise the light... Is it maxed out already?

They are getting really close even a inch away I keep moving the light daily. This is beginning of week 3. I could tie it down or do super cropping but what would you suggest more? I still have more room to raise the light.

I would do some LST and probably a little bit a super cropping on the Taller tops. I just did that on my northern lights today.

I have about three more feet and all right I will consider training them tonight!

If you can safely keep the lights at 1 foot that will reduce your stretch a bit. 18" should be more than safe though, but check manufacturer guide lines.

I did some soft bending on my Northern Lights, just to get that main stalk down a bit. Worked like a charm, opened up the middle and gave all those lowers a chance to catch up.

Well here we go..... had some drinks and dabs after work and got busy. I love my plant and love hanging out with them but tonight is serious business. Got some super cropping done. Bent everything that was well above the other growth. Left two of the higher branches just because I want to see how the rest reacts. After research I think it was a smart move. Thanks Agemon for the help and advice. As well as many others!

That's an aggressive super crop! Just like LST there are a few stages of severity. As long as you're confident those branches are gonna live is all that matters. You may end up with a lot of tops there. Lay the mains flat and watch the side branches turn into tops! The plants auxins get redistributed because the plant senses multiple tops needing more nutrients, etc.

BTW: I said soft bending, not snapping that shit sideways!

Yeah I got a little aggressive but it’s all right the plants growing vigorously and I believe it will do just fine. After you had suggested to Super crop , I did a Little bit of research and a lot of people are experimenting with late super cropping. If she doesn’t do too well with it I’ll give her some support but I don’t even think I’ll need to. I’ll give you update in a couple days when I get my new light!

My thoughts on an aggressive super crop like that is you put the plant into a healing mode, yes they heal quick, but she's only getting 12 hours of light and now the nutrients that would be used to bulk up flowers on the stem are being used to heal it. I'm not trying to trip out or nothin just talkin bout the plant and the healing process. I've had some pretty bad breaks / bends during flower and my plants have all healed fine. You'll also want to consider what week of flower you're in as well. After 3 weeks the plants stop stretching and the stems start to stiffen to support the weight of the flowers. I know that InTheShed super crops right up until week three of flower. I just started this myself and have to say I'm very happy with how it's working.

Well I know I should be patient but here is a 24hr update. They are starting to grow back up right but not as much as I was hoping. I’m a little worried.

I see a little bit of purple where I bent them down.

Should I let it go natural or should I try to support them up a little?

Make a spint or tape her up. I use electrical tape.

The new light is so nice! Definitely think I’ll buy another one! The plant is growing just a little slow right now. Oops. I’m not worried!

Rotate your plant once a day at the same time, lights on... get that different lighting to all the parts of the plant so you get more uniform development.

Well my plant looks like it okay..

The smell of hemp went away and got replaced by some nasty stink. I haven’t overwatered so I’m not sure if it’s root rot or what. (Smelt my fabric pot doesn’t really stink,not sure where the smells coming from.)

Buds are developing and getting bigger, no more stretch. Now I’m just concerned about this smell..

That smell, Cantchu smell that smell?

Prolly ur buds, rub one oc the tops then smell ur fingers. Some are skunky, somd are fueley, some are fruity, and yhe good stufc smells like all 3!

Update!


Gave my plant some support for when the buds get heavier. All the branches I super cropped are now being held up. I also raised my light to 13 inches. Other than that everything is going great! Photos bellow! Happy growing!
