Insect problem but can’t find the insect

Just did a check up on my girl and noticed the tips of leaves that aren’t really to exposed have been chewed off. I’ve had problems last grow with fungus gnats but don’t see any signs of them now that I actually know how to water lol. So I did put down mosquito bits as a preventative measure but am wondering what else I can do. I do have insecticide soap I’m not sure if that’s better to use with lights on or or off. And I also have neem oil. Please let me know what you think

Did you happen to top there? Only reason I ask is because you could have taken off a little end of those leaves when topping. But if you know they were full leaves prior then get the plants in natural light and start looking for critters.

You’re early enough to spray with neem- do it at lights out, never in the sun. That will probably displace whatever is doing that damage.
Probably a caterpillar or something pretty good size if it’s cutting leaves like that.
After you spray, you can add a layer of diatomaceous earth to the soil as well and it will be another reason not to stay there for meals.

Tons of better pics. When I pulled her out I killed one fungus gnats shook her real good saw no more. Last time I used mosquito bits it seemed to solve the issue I also just hung some yellow sticky traps

learn to fish... pop the back label and read....

keep an eye out for mice droppings in tent corners, found some in my tent recently as cold weather lures them indoors. good job keep using sticky traps, one on soil of each container and one hanging over canopy.

best advice = Don’t mix a full gallon, do the math divide it down to pints or 8 ounces or whatevs

be sure to spray leaf undersides first... otherwise leaves will be drooping downward and you won’t get good coverage under the canopy

Oh I know how to fish lol that I’m good at I’m a commercial fisherman. Thanks for the advice I’m going to mix it for this evening when lights go out

I’m pretty sure it was fungus gnats if that’s the case they should be gone in 2 days with a layer of mosquito bits on the top of the soil light misting to activate it and should wipe them out still gonna do the neem oil this evening too

I can’t tell what this is whether it’s normal or signs of some other insect any insight? Circled in red

Yea I know the gnats attack root systems but they don’t take chunks out of leaves. I’m baffled at my above picture it’s on almost all of my leaves it almost looks like little crystals almost like trichomes but I’m still in veg. The one thing I have noticed in the past week my plant has defiantly started to get a skunk smell to it. It is northern lights and supposedly it doesn’t really smell usually. Who know I removed the affected leaves which were small anyway and covered by the much larger leaves. And I also did a foliar insecticide spray. I’m growing in fabric pots so atleast I know gnats aren’t getting in through holes like the plastic pots.

No mice or cats in my house ever

I was able to say that for decades, but... :(.

Looks like it was nibbled on by something with teeth. Place an opened KitKat bar on your grow room floor, then pour some sugar on it. Return in 24 hours and see if you can find the candy bar.

Great deal on the new skunk smell, that’s exciting news.

However - if you think you don’t have mice.... then you are not looking hard enough. What’s that age old quote about how spiders and mice don’t discriminate between kings and paupers, they occupy all dwellings.

If they can live outdoors year round, why would you think they couldn’t find their way inside where they can smell food and warmth? A mouse can survive on paper alone, books or magazines etc. They shred it for nesting and can eat it for nutrition, it’s just cellulose and a fine banquet.

I guarantee your condo, home, apartment, crawl space or attic has them...you won’t see them until you trap them, hate to bear bad news but yeah it’s true!

I’ll set out a mouse trap but my room is filled with carboard and paper and have never seen an indication of a mouse
