Sorry if Im bringing back up an old post, but I was curious as to something. It seems that the general consensus is to run the batch twice through the IP for two hours. But couldn't the same results be essentially "achieved" by running a 4hr cycle from the start? Or is this something that should be avoided?
@SweetSue
We don’t mind repeating ourselves The Potato. Sorry to be so long getting to you.
There’s something we don’t yet understand going on, and the time cooling down in between as well as the 24-hr sit after adding lecithin and before using the oil seems to have more effect.
Another part of the mystery is we’re learning that a finished oil increases in potency when you leave it sit in the fridge for a few weeks or more.
For the time being I’ll be sticking to the pause in between. I may not be able to explain it yet but it makes a more powerful oil doing it this way.
Is there a way to use the instant pot to make cannabutter?
I normally use the on the stove, butter, cannabis and water method, but since I bought an IP thinking maybe I could sue it for cannabutter.
gr already asked me, and my thought was there might be a chance the butter would burn in the intense heat. I’d like to hear input from the rest of you. No one wants to try and burn up good buds.
