Is this a caterpillar?

Hello all, newbie here.
I'm growing two plants, and the last couple of days I noticed on one plant that there were many leaves that are only half leaves now, plus a round hole or two in the leaves. Then I noticed an inch long "thing" underneath & right in the middle of a big leaf on the affected plant.
I'm enclosing 3 photos, the first is the "eaten" plant, the second is the bug I pulled off of it, the third pic seems to be a healthy plant. They are 6 weeks old, grown indoors.

I wanted to post the pics, how do I do that.
I see no options to post pics.

Looks like it could be. It's definitely doing a number on your leaves. I would try a Google search on caterpillars native to your location to see if that is in fact what it is. Hope this helps

LOL, there was just one hanging underneath a perfect leaf
but he was no match for me as I squeezed the life out of
him with those pliers.
But it's got me looking at the plants a lot.
And he did enough damage to deserve it.

Yeah that's a catapillar

My plants are 7 weeks, 1 ft tall.
They seem to be getting sickly on the ends of the leaves.
Are they too young or to small to start to induce the bud stage.
I'm afraid I'm gonna lose my plants.
