Is this normal - Seedling in danger?

So I'm doing a grow of 2 different strains..king tut and cheese.

Today I noticed the seedling sprouted above soil and had the seed hanging off...i took the seed off with tweezers and it was done safely with no damage

Thanks my first grow and I think I'm off to a bad start.

The leaves are together but not open...to show you what I mean I have recorded a quick 1 minute video showing how it looks.

Is this something to be concerned about or should I leave it if all is normal?

Seed was planted 1/4 to 1/2 inch in soil after germination sprout was visible

Check the video of What I'm concerned about here

I have started a grow journal but not getting much help there yet where it's so new

Thanks

You are fine! That happens a lot these days, and you did right by removing the seed cap. Now the seedling will grow out of that gooey stuff by itself. I would gently mist it to help it along. Same thing happened to a couple of my seedlings, and by keeping the cap moist enabled the seedling to shed it by itself.:morenutes:

That is exactly what I am doing, keeping the top moist without overkill...with the seed cap on I was concerned it could have dried out, but I will take your word for it. Thanks a million Buzzer777
