2-8-15 Day 1 of Flowering for - KCJones- 12 Plants, 6 in a 4'x4' flood tray with a 35 gallon reservoir for each flood tray and the following is for each reservoir

AquaShielD 105 ML

CAL-MAG Plus 105 ML

Jungle Juice Micro, Grow & Bloom130 ML

Botanicare Pure Blend Tea 175 ML

KoolBloom 3 TBS

Flood tray #3 PH adjusted to 5.5 ppm @ 777

3-4-15 Day 25 of Flowering - KCJones- 12 Plants, Six to a 4’x4’ Flood Tray each with its own 35 Gallon reservoir and air stone

The following is for each 35 Gallon reservoir

AquaShielD 105 ML

CAL-MAG Plus 125 ML

Jungle Juice Micro & Grow 225 ML

Jungle Juice Bloom 325 ML

Botanicare Pure Blend Tea 175 ML

Liquid Carboload 280 ML

KoolBloom 1 TBS

I forgot to write down the PH & ppm

3-16-15 Day 45 of Flowering - KCJones- 12 Plants, Six to a 4’x4’ Flood Tray each with its own 35 Gallon reservoir and air stone

The following is for each 35 Gallon reservoir

CAL-MAG Plus 125 ML

Jungle Juice Micro & Grow 200 ML

Jungle Juice Bloom 300 ML

Liquid Carboload 280 ML

KoolBloom 3 TBS

Flood tray #3 PH adjusted to 5.6 ppm @ 1750

Flood tray #4 PH adjusted to 5.5 ppm @ 1600

In between the change of nutrients and cleaning of the reservoir, I added 2 or 3-five Gallon buckets of nutrients to each of the reservoirs, I didn't want to just add water to top off, because it dilutes the nutrients too much, so I divided the amount of milliliters by 35 and then I multiplied the answer by 5, that way I know how much nutrients to add per 5 Gallon bucket, I’ll use the measurements from above as an EXAMPLE…….

CAL-MAG Plus 125 ML (125/35=3.57143) (3.57143x5=17.8715) = 17.5 ML per 5 gallon bucket

Jungle Juice Micro & Grow 200 ML (200/35=5.71429) (5.71429x5=28.57145) = 28.5 ML per 5 gallon bucket

Jungle Juice Bloom 300 ML (300/35=8.57143) (8.57143x5=42.85715) = 42.5 ML 5 gallon bucket

Liquid Carboload 280 ML (280/35=8) (8x5=40) = 40ML

KoolBloom 3 TBS (3TBS= 9 Tsp) (9Tsp= 133.081ML) (133.081/35=3.80231) (3.80231x5=19.01155) = 19ML of Dry

KoolBloom per 5 Gallon bucket

I always try to adjust the PH to 5.6 - 5.8, if I get 5.5 its fine anything lower is unacceptable, if I get 5.9 its fine anything over is unacceptable for me. PH @ 5.6 is what I look for but if I go a little over or under 5.6 is ok, I just don't want to keep adding PH up or PH down in search for magic!

Greeting to all @:420:

I'm trying to put together a more informative and detailed Journal, it's hard since I do everything by myself for now. I rather post whatever I can to keep it as current as possible. That means lots of pictures and not too much writing????

All 4 Dakini Kush plants are from the same seed ( #6 out of 7 ) that I germinated using TheCapn's technique.

I was trying to add the link to TheCapn's blog page and I wasn't able to for some reason, so I recreated it / re-posted it :cheesygrinsmiley:
I had great success with the technique, so I saved the page to my laptop....:cheesygrinsmiley:

I want to say thank you to all @ :420: for making it possible for me to Start Learning the Science of Cannabis Cultivation..:Namaste:

And Thanks you to TheCapn for sharing his technique with us @ :420:

The Capn's Grow
Fastest and most successful way to Germinate Seeds
By TheCapn

seeds911.jpg

Q. Hey Capn, I just spent $100 on seeds. 2 of them didn't germinate, and the other took a week to pop up, and now they look like hell. Should I scratch the beans on sandpaper to help them crack? What's the best way to germinate seeds?

A. starting seeds seems like a basic thing, but it must be done carefully for best success. I see people struggle with it again and again. I've popped a bean or two, so let's see how it's done.

Note: It doesn't matter if you're growing in dirt, coco, outdoors hydroton, this method works for all.

What's this? An 11 pack of serious bubble gum? The same bubble gum that has won 8 awards in 4 different cannabis cups? Old school genetics are the best! Oh yeah!

BubbleGum261.jpg

1. In a pitcher or gallon jug, start with 1/2 gallon of RO or distilled water. Add 3-4 ml of General Hydroponics Florablend, and 5ml aquashield. This should put your PH to 5.8 to 6.2. If it's still a bit high, add a few more drops of florablend to lower the ph a bit more. Try NOT to use PH adjusters unless necessary. Put the 1.5" rockwool cubes in the water, after it's mixed up.

seeds1121.jpg

2. Get two paper towels and fold them in 1/2 until it's about the size of your wallet. Soak the paper towel in the water (you just mixed up) and then open it and spread the seeds around; don't put them in the crease. Put your dripping wet seed sandwich in a ziplock bag with a bit of air. Put the bag on something SLIGHTLY warm, like your internet router. It should feel just slightly warm to your hand. Don't cook them! If you don't use heat, it will take much longer.

seeds2111.jpg

3. After 24 hours, you can peek at your seeds and a few of them may be popped open with tails sticking out. After 40 hours, it should look like this. All 11 seeds germinated and look great. If yours don't look this far along, let them go another 24 hours.

seeds3101.jpg

4. Slide the "wrap" most of the way off a rockwool cube. Rip part of the rockwool cube in 1/2, and then put the bean in, tail pointing down:

seeds4101.jpg

5. Pull the wrap back on the cube.

seeds571.jpg

6. Put your cubes in a humidome tray. These are available at any garden or home store. Now we have 11 happy seeds ready to pop out their cotyledon leaves.

seeds622.jpg

7. Put your dome on. Put the entire tray on a seed heating mat. If you don't have one, you can use a heating pad, with a towel on it, or put them back on your internet router. Again, the warmth will speed them along. Trust me on this!

seeds712.jpg

8. Another 24 hours later (72 hours total) we see some cotyledons popping out of the cubes. Once the majority of the seeds are popped out, take the dome off. Keep the tray on the heating mat, in a humid place (60-80% humidity). You can also prop the humidome off the tray with spacers, to keep it humid but not too wet.

seeds811.jpg

If it is too wet in the dome, your stems may "damp off". That means the stem gets bacteria, rots, and your seedling dies. The Florablend and aquashield help protect against this, just make sure they are not swimming.

That was easy, right? The main reason people mess this up, is because they try too hard. Don't scratch your seeds first, don't add a ton of nutrients. Do exactly as I did above and you should have the same results.

We will check in with our babies in a couple days. Thanks for reading.

Another 48 hours goes by. On the 5th day we have 11 happy seedlings. 11 seeds, 11 seedlings. The slowest seed took 4 days to fully break the surface and open it's leaves. I took some of my 500ppm water I use for my veg plants and I diluted it down to 150ppm, added a little aqua shield and watered them.

babies2132.jpg

On the sixth day, I soaked some gro cubes in some 150ppm 5.8 water and then took the wrap off the blocks and planted them into little planters. They will stay in these for a couple weeks, or until they get root bound.

babies3122.jpg

This will be my last update to the seed germination blog post. I'll leave you with a few last tips for seed germinating:

1. Always wash your hands and any equipment you're working with before handling seeds or seedlings, pots, etc.

2. Use the paper towel method as I described above, it really works.

3. Use heat as I pointed out above. Here, I have 11 of 11 happy seedlings in just 4-5 days. Without using heat, I've had them take twice as long.

4. Use beneficial bacteria from the beginning, even if it's just aquashield. Establishing beneficials early is important for vigor and growth rates.

5. If you want to get crazy and experiment, don't do it with $10 seeds. Follow the guide above and you'll do great. 100% success and all an inch+ tall after 4-5 days is rapid. I doubt you'll find a different way that does it faster anyway!

6. If the seedlings are doing well, On the first day of the 2nd week, I go to 250ppm, then the 3rd week, 350, 4th 450, etc topping out at 600 in veg.

Good luck with your seeds!

Hope all is well in your world.

Is this grow still alive?

We would love to be updated with some pictures and info.

How about posting a 420 Strain Review?

If you need any help with posting photos, please read our Photo Gallery Tutorial.

Sending you lots of love and positive energy.
