Itibitiguy's Place

So time to start a new journal. Welcome along for the ride... feel free to pop in and out, ask questions, and whatever.

Setup

Flower tent 1
mars hydro 4x4x6 tent
Mars hydro 320 epistar light
1 regular fan
1 oil radiator heater
1 inkbird heat control
1 CO2 bag

Flower tent 2
Mars hydro 4x4x6 tent
Nextlight mega led light
1 regular fan
1 oil radiator heater
1 inkbird heat control
1 CO2 bag

Veg tent

fusion hut grow tent 4x4x5
Mars hydro ts1000
6 inch inline fan and charcoal filter
1 regular fan

I have my veg tent in the middle of both my flower tents. The inline fan sucks from both flower tents into the veg tent and then out.
Both heat controllers are set to 20°c and the inline fan is on a timer when the the flower lights are out it's a 15min on and off cycle till the lights come back on. This helps with the heat, and the heaters dont be on flat out when the the light are out.

Strains

Right now I have 2 stains going. I have Jack Herer and Dark Energy x OG. The Jack's are a feminized seed and the dark energy is regular seeds. Right now I have one male dark energy that I will get some pollen from and then I'll make seed with the phenom I choose. Right now it looks as if I've got 3 different plants out of 5 females of dark energy, 2 are shorter, 2 are tall, one if really tall. I've got 4 transplanted and into flower tent 1 as of yesterday, so on time will tell. Flower tent 2 has 4 jacks at around week 5 now, they are coming along nicely. The veg tent has clones from the dark energy and jack or lavenderdog clones.... and the dark energy male and the odd female out on the dark energy.

A few pics the get it started

An early rise today.... weather alerts woke me up.... got a winter storm watch 30 - 40 cm of snow coming Sunday night/monday, I'll be working pushing that snow around.

Anyways, I haven't been using my ph pen or tds pen for the last year or so. I picked up some new additives for the nutrients, got some silica and some bloom booster. So I know the silica is gonna throw the ph for a ride, that's why I've got my ph pen all calibrated this morning. I'm pretty sure I'll mix my line up in this order... and possibly moving some stuff to water days, as I usually do feed-water-feed-water....

1- silica
2- calmag
3- nutrients base
4- nutrients additives
5-ph adjust

My tap water is alot lower then the last time I checked it, it use to be 8.1 now its 7.2. The ppm is about right might be a little more.

Hey Iti I’m in for the grow show. What kind of cloner are you using?
Hey penny :passitleft:

This is a clone king 36. Think it cost me 100 bucks, but worth every penny. Makes cloning a joy.

Today some veg tent action. I needed to water and feed the gals and guy in veg tent, so I figure I throw some silica in and see how it goes. Everything is still in small pots so I only needed to mix one gallon. Listed in order of added

1 gallon of water
1.2 ml armor si (silica)
4.0 ml calmag
20 ml grow

Ph'd to 6.1 @ 19.8c.
The 2 dark energy got a little less the half a gallons... till run off started. And the jack got a soaking too.

Where did you purchase the ph meter? Do you need to calibrate it ? Also is it accurate ?

Hey Jay
I got mine at a local grow shop. Came pre calibrated but also got a couple single packs of calibration solution when I bought it. I have had to calibrate it a couple of times. Seems pretty accurate to me.

I like running ph on the higher side most of the time.
It was at 6.3 without any adjustment... I did a couple of drops of ph down and it dropped a 0.1 then when i went to do another couple of drops i shot out a bit more then i wanted. Checked it and we were at 6.1.

6.1 is good, I run 6.0 to 6.2 most of the time. Ocasionly I drop it to 5.8 or so.
Yeah I'll let mine float a little too... once I mix everything I check it and if its within range I'll let it go. 6.3 was probably okay but I wanted to get the feel for doing everything again.

Okay its busy time here for me.... snow clearing and had over 100cm of snow since xmas eve. Anyways I havent had much chance to update everything, basically just had a enough time just to get out and water the girls. So I've had a couple of waters between the last update.

So last night I had to feed flower tent 2. And the boss txtd me just before and said that I didn't have to work last night, which was a good thing cause I had a miagraine.

Okay so I mixed a feed for flower tent 2
6 gallons of water
60 ml bloom
15 ml kool bloom
Ph'd to 6.3 @21.4
Each girl gets 1.5 gallons
These are halfway through week 5, and I can finally say that these are lavenderdogs again... that what I get for not labeling clones... anyways these girls are getting stinky now
