Jovan Jackson sentenced to 180 days and 5k fine. Motion for new trial was denied. Jackson will turn himself in on Feb 1. ASA vowed to appeal and fight the unfair and biased decision.
"Medical Marijuana is a Scam" as well as many other politically driven and hateful comments were made by Judge Shore during the hearing today.
Americans for Safe Access Chief Counsel Joe Elford was in court today to argue the motion for a new trial. Lance Rogers argued the sentencing portion of the hearing.
Thanks to everyone who took the time to come out and support Jovan in court today. Your presence in court today may very well have kept Jovan from being remanded into custody right away.
