Jars to cure the buds, is food grade plastic OK as well as glass?

I have some mason jars but I also have some plastic jars that protein powder and vitamin powder came in. Can I use the plastic jars for curing and storing as well as the glass mason jars or should I only use glass mason jars?

Good question. Welcome. Because cannabis has so much volatile matter potential that may penetrate, I'd hesitate to use plastic. However, baggies are used, so what do I know!!

Glass is preferred, some use turkey bags for large harvest but plastic carries an odor of its own whereas glass has no odor. I insist on using glass
