Defoliated last weekend and found some serious leaf margin curl on all plants and some slight yellowing on the best growing two, seems fine at first BUT...
I had an issue with the pro-mix HP bale I bought this spring. The runoff of my plants was over 3200 ppm and I only watered them into the new pots with plain water. I know my plants didn't have that much salt buildup in their old pro-mix as I feed/flush alternating weeks. The lime they add doesn't breakdown that fast either. I'm baffled and am contacting pro-mix as to what could have caused this. I don't feed over 1000 ppm in veg let alone let it build up to toxic levels over 1600 ppm that most plants can tolerate under normal circumstances. No tip burn and no browning/yellowing after flushing 800 ppm nutrient solution through until i reached 1500 ppm runoff. All is well again but sheepish what an unnecessary thing.
