Jay T Trichomes First Indoor Grow: One 5x5 Tent With 4 Photo Periods & One 5 x 5 With 6 Autoflowers

Hello All! Here’s my setup.. 5x5 tent with 2 1200w Bestva elite led lights. Currently only have the veg switch on and it’s pulling around 136w from the wall.6in vortex in-line fan w/carbon scrubber. I have a humidifier and (2) 6 inch fans circulating the air. In this tent I currently have 4 green crack plants and I will be putting 3 more of these in there in another week or so. ( Beans just popped and are in a closet under an hlg 40 led seedling light. My other tent is another 5x5 with a 6in vortex in-line fan w/ carbon scrubber, humidifier and 2 6in fans for airflow. I’m using (4) 288 quantum boards with a Meanwell 480 driver in this tent and currently have the lights turned down to 330w at the wall. I use coco as my medium l, which has about 30% perlite in it. I use dr earths dry amendments, and I mixed the 4-4-4 into my coco when I first planted these girls. I water with ph between 6.5 and 6.8. My first problem I encountered was one of my plants getting a little droopy, which after reading Emilya’s post about watering techniques, I believe I was overwatering a bit. The girls haven’t been watered in about 36 hours ( letting them dry out completely)and the one plant seems to be rebounding. The first pic is my autoflower girls, notice the middle plant on the right, that’s the one that started dropping. Also the front left one is not doing so well because my dog actually picked it out of the pot while I was watering one day, and I recovered it and replanted. Don’t know how she will end up! The second pic is of the photoperiod plants. I haven’t seemed to have an issue with watering these ladies since they are in smaller pots. My first question for everyone is, can I soak my pots and wait for some runoff at this stage? And then water when they dry out again, or is that to much water at once for these girls? I’m a little gun shy after my first overwatering mistake. And both of my tents lights are around 30inches from canopy. This seems to be another area that some more experience would definitely help me. Do you think this is an alright height for now? Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions. And thanks for letting me show you my first journey and look forward to any help

Can someone please give me some info if it’s safe to water my autoflowers which are in 3 gal., fabric pots, until I see residual water coming out of the bottom of the pots. And watering again when they dry out. They are currently 15 days from germination. I’m a lilttle nervous since I found out I was overwatering my plants like a typical newbie. I started off watering these girls in little circles around them gradually getting bigger each time with my circle. But I was watering twice a day with this method, hence how I believe I got a droopy plant. I’ve included a pic of all 6 autos and 1 pic of my droopy lady. The lil plant front left my dog snatched out of the pot one night while watering! So I got her back and returned it to the pot, not for sure if it will even do good. I’m also inexperienced in the art of light height over my canopy. Which I’m hoping is just something that starts to become second nature over time. My current light in the tent is (4) 288 quantum boards which I have turned down to 315 watts at the wall. And they are hung about 30in above canopy. Had them at 40in to begin and wattage turned down to 250w. Been gradually lowering because I felt they were stretching a lil bit and had to start supporting some of them. Any suggestions or help?... I’m all ears. Thanks for any help in advance

So here is the ladies at 21 days from germination. I’ve started using General Hydroponics liquid nutes. And what a difference it has made. Plants seem to love it. Just started to LST them today. I’ve also changed how I water these ladies, I soak them until about 20% runoff 1x a day right now. Ph between 5.7 and 6.2. And have been monitoring my EC runoff and it’s around 1050 to 1100 ppm. I’ve learned a lot from a website that Bakind has mentioned to me.

So here is a few pics of these ladies growing. The first set of pics is from my autoflower tent. I have NYD and Amnesia Haze in their. They seem to be doing really well except for one of the plants with some leaves with a little bit of yellowing. Does anyone have any ideas on that plant? I’ve been watering once a day soaking until 20 percent runoff. My ph has been between 5.8 and 6.1 when watering. My EC is 585 or so going in and around 850 when I test runoff. I’ve been reading and some say as long as your runoff isn’t much more than a 300 difference between the in EC and the runoff EC. What’s your thoughts on that one? The other set of pics is of my photoperiods they are Green Crack. They seem to be going pretty well. I attempted my first topping of 2 of the 4 photos. If anyone can see them, did I do that correctly? Was a little nervous since only watching videos on how to top your plants. Thanks for any suggestions or help!

Also wanted to try and start LST them but the node spacing seems so tight it’s kind of hard to get a good bend right now. Should they be a little taller to start LST. The autos are 24 days right now and seem to be bushy. Should I wait until they begin flowering and hopefully gain a little more height?

So it’s been awhile, but just a little update. The plants seem to love the general hydroponics nutes. So my autoflowers are 35 days old and growing pretty rapidly. Been doing a little LST on them. The NYD are already flowering, and the Amnesia Haze aren’t far behind. That’s the first pic. The second picture is of the green crack photos. They are 34 days old. They have gotten a lot bigger as well. Gonna veg then for another week or so and the switch them to flower. I have a question about those . I’m gonna put up a trellis and want to know when I should put that net up? Or am I too late? The third pic is of some clones and a few beans. They are about 14 or so days old. So far I think it is going fairly well. Might be getting a touch of nitrogen toxicity . Let me know what ya think

Thanks Lion. Yea I kinda got busy with life and the kids, it was harder than I thought to post daily and keep it interesting. Plus there wasn’t much of a following, so I just ask whatever questions I had in the normal forums! But I will eventually get a better grow journal going!

Looking great Jay T, another dank harvest coming your way! :ganjamon::bravo::bongrip:

Here’s the guardian of the castle doing what he does best! The ladies are looking real nice, green crack has exploded with growth under the trellis. The Tropicana’s just keep stacking. And the grapes are short and stout but hopefully get a decent lil yield. And boy do these Tropicana’s smell great!
