2 DWC bucket system with 6in net pot from Amazon with hydroton

Rapid Rooter for germantion

Advanced Nutrients pH perfect trio nutes
Hydroguard root inoculant
Flying skull z7
Cal/Mag
Bud Ignitor
Big Bud
Bud Candy
Overdrive

What are we growing you ask? Well, I have 2 beautiful seeds I've saving for this occasion. The first is a sativa from Humboldt, Blue Dream
The second is an indica from Barney's Farm, Pineapple Chunk and here's what they look like today.

In case the title wasn't clear this is my very first hydroponic grow and I will be needing a lot of help and guidance along the way. I have started this journal for that very reason. I have a bit of a green thumb with soil and promix and I owe every bit of everything I know from all of you beautiful people on here. I'm hoping PW and DA so many of you beautiful souls that I haven't spoken to in so long will see this and follow my journey and help me once yet again. Also, idk if they ever got an app up and running again or whatever, but if someone could lmk about that situation bc I'm so far behind the times. Anyway, big shout out to everyone that I haven't seen in like forever and hello and salutations to anyone on the new. I'm her to learn and to guide the best I can. Pull up a chair. Have a great vibe and put some Sublime and let's smoke 2 joints before we smoke 2 joints and then we'll smoke 2 more. I'll be working on building this journal up with pics and content best I can guys. I really wanna make it a great show so it's not boring or whatever, but I get busy. At thsi point I really need to know how long I leave the ladies in the trays before I put them in the hydroton? How far down do put the RR into the hydroton? Little details like that is where I'm at right now.

This is going to be my very first attempt at hydroponics and that is exactly why I am starting this journal. I have learned everything I know from you beautiful souls on 420mag and I am once again at need of your service. I'm really hoping to get some guidance and if possible guide some newbs along the way also as I do have a couple years experience under my belt now with promix and soil and have been having EXCELLENT results. I've just decided it's time to step up my game and get to the greastest of the great. I want to now master hydroponics. I will indeed need you all. Please send your best gurus and guides. Lol . The beans were put into the Rapid Rooter,which I will for now on refer to as RR, on 12.3.18. So this grow has begun and I already have many questions and need lots of help. Like, for instance, how long do they stay in RR? How far do I put the RR into net pot when I transfer? What about water level at bottom of net pot? Here's a pic of them today under the purple Mars Hydro LED. I do intend on trying to put alot of content and photos into this journal and drive traffic to it to keep it interesting if I can. I'm going thru alot of changes at work and I'm about to take on new job so I'm not sure what kind of time I'll have to put into to it but going to do my best guy and gals. I need you all more than you need me and that's a fact. I really hope you will join me in my journey and give me some guidance and help me keep my ladies alive and healthy and see them thru to harvest. I do have another grow going that is about to get chopped so I will have bud porn sooner rather than later

This is the whole tent setup currently. I still have to assemble the other bucket and the Solar System 550 is over another grow for a few more weeks so just the Mars Hydro for now, but that's I need for now so... Yeah....

Hi Joe, and welcome back!

I'm using a 6" net pot as well with Hydroton and rapid rooters. I went straight from paper towel to rapid rooter, and directly into the dwc. I have a top feed ring that goes around the outside edge of my net pot, which is buried under the Hydroton. Because of the ring being buried, I lowered the RR around half an inch. This way I won't get any wetness that's visible from the light, and cause algae growth on the top of the clay pebbles.
