I took the summer off and now will be starting a winter grow
I’ll be growing
Vibe Shift by Mosca seeds
Strawberry Tiramisu by The Cali Connection
Blueberry cupcake by Humboldt
Tropicana banana homemade seeds

I started the seeds on November 1, by putting them in distilled water with a dash of hydrogen peroxide
12 hours later, the blueberry cupcake had a tail peeking

Removed it and put it on paper towel in a zipper baggie on a heat mat Nov.2
Later that night, the vibe shift And strawberry tiramisu cracked open

Evening of November 3, I put them into some promix w/ micro
This morning the 4 th the vibe shift and blueberry cupcake have come up

So far the Tropicana banana hasn’t opened up

Went to load some pictures and came back. I thought I lost everything
noticed a label about a draft clicked on it, and it came back woo hoo

Not sure if you will learn anything in my low budget grow


Checked on the plants at lights on ( I run them at night for heating & dark during the day when the house is warmer)

The strawberry tiramisu was trying to come up, but the root wrapped around the seedling so I had to do a little bit of manipulation

Root repair
Just needed a little bit of chiropractic adjustment
All better now

The Tropicana of banana still hasn’t cracked
The seed is still hard as a rock, so I used a razor blade and put a few scratch marks into it
Sometimes the over ripe seeds need to be scarified to get them to open up

You need to try some of those beast strains outside straight in the ground next year
Growing in small pots restricts my strain
The bigger the root space = bigger plants

yeah they probably would but i spend the summers out at the lake its all canadian shield & be lucky to get 6'' before hitting rock & that's if you can find soil that goes that deep
 
Figured I should do an update
I lost my first blueberry muffin
Which was the seed that had the root going over top of the plant
Think I watered it a little bit too much and it was a little too cool down in the basement

The Tropicana banana seed never did come up
So I started two more another blueberry muffin, which sprouted and is doing good

Also started a Bubba whip heard good things so gonna try it out
You can see the dead blueberry muffin in the top right corner

Added a new piece of black /white poly on the front you can see the back is starting to crack up from the light
The front or door was worse because I was always moving it to get in and out

Also added a small car warmer with the thermostat set at 25°C
Temperature was swinging up and down too much outside temperatures changing so much furnace wasn’t running regularly

What kind of light are you using there, and what setting for the seedlings?

Homebuilt using Samsung LED strips
Puts out 225 W
I just wing it on the amount
It is variable

Forgot to mention at the time they were just transitioning from the purples to the compact mini LEDs we see today
To get a deal on the strips, I had to buy 25 of one kind which ended up being the 3000 K used for flowering
So my plants in veg, end up being much shorter and closely spaced

The flower room is the same except I also have four Cree cob LEDs in there = 325 watt

Morning Joe, to bad about the seedlings but congrats on the new ones, i hate this part of the grow

So you don't experience any light burn at all? I've done that in the past with a homemade one, after the blurple era. I had no way to dim them and it took a while to get it right. LOL

Not that I notice & I keep my lights pretty close, to keep the stretch to a minimum

As stated in my previous grows I do a no-frills grow
I don’t worry about perfect temperatures (it’s cool)or perfect humidity( it’s dry )
I use rainwater and never check pH or PPM
Also, my record keeping is pretty much a mark on the calendar, usually starting at the beginning of the month

My first blurples were mounted on a pair of
Aluminum running boards lol

The bubba whip is shucking its shell, looks like it will be a strong plant

All my seeds have taken & are responding well
Have been giving them 1/4 strength week 1 nutrients
Thinking about transplanting, middle of next week
Starting to see roots on the vibe shift and already the bubble whip
The warmer temperatures in the room 25°C made the new ones stretch a bit
