Jon's Just For Fun, Experimental, Photograph Only, Sour Apple Auto, Self-Generated Bagseed, Outdoor Grow

Thanks @HappyHazmat88, and I don't think we've interacted before, have we? Nice to "meet" you and thanks for stopping in. Love to hear anything you have to say or wish to comment on. FYI, I'm a no ego dude. If you see something you think could be done differently and you think it might help, I'd love to hear your input. Doesn't mean I'll agree, just trying to say please don't be shy about commentary as many are, cuz I need it to learn, and everyone has something to offer. Cool? Thanks!
No we have not interacted, but nice to"meet" as well lol I'm new here and I'm kinda stealthing through peoples grow journals :p and I have my own little set up going as well. But when I see something that catches my eye I follow along... The res photos are really neat. But I'm not to knowledgeable but I'm learning and experimenting as I go...if you have any input as well I'd like to hear... But keep up the good work and dope photos my friend.

That's cool man, welcome to 420! You are doing exactly what I did - I paged through a bunch of journals and as I saw something that impressed me or I wanted to know more about or whatever, I sometimes would comment or sometimes reached out to say hey and introduce myself. It doesn't take long to get to know good, solid people here, there's a lot of them. I'm hanging with a pretty good crew right now, if you want to check out some of the folks whose names you see on my pages. All of them dwarf me as a grower, which is exactly what I want. I'll tell you what man, as a grower my learning curve leaped up quick when I started to talking to people on here. Have a blast. Post some stuff! If you want to enter any of the contests, which are real fun and great photo porn to check out, you generally have to have 50 posts, whether they're your stuff or comments in others threads. Maybe start a journal of your setup once you meet some people to tag and what not?

Anyway, good to have you, thanks man. Love to see what you have going on sometime. You are welcome to post in my threads that kind of stuff if you don't want to begin a journal yet.

:welcome:

Beautiful lady my friend.
Plant of the month hehe.
Is that a river in the background or a canal with salt water?
At least it's not a sink hole.
Stay safe.

I live in one of those gated communities where every house has water out the back doors. It's a big selling point for all these gated communities. They all make these man made ponds and canals everywhere in the developments, and they are all connected. There's a serious filtration and exchange system for the entire set of created waterways and ponds and such, and they all eventually interact with their main source, which is the Indian River, a big river that runs through here.

To specifically answer your question, it's what I would call a small pond. It's fresh water, although I would call it brackish. I fish in there and catch a ton of big, 4-6 pound tilapia, 2-3 pound Peacock Bass, and the occasional Largemouth, biggest one three pounds so far. Not a canal. Self contained except for the big exchange concrete 6' round "pipes" that connect it to all the rest. I have houses surrounding this pond as you see in the picture. I suppose if they wanted to they could look through binoculars and see my entire setup during the day. That's the chance I take, and frankly, most of you wouldn't do it and think I'm stupid for doing so. That's okay. At the end of the day, I just don't give a f--k. I'll take my chances that nobody cares, and hardly anyone is here anyway. I have a few neighbors who are smokers and stop by sometimes to ask if I can help them out, so that's kind of funny. They're all older than me, like my parents age, late 70s. But lots of them need medicine, and even the older, most resistant generation is coming around on the whole pot thing I think. If I was a dealer I could make a living just in this gated community. Lmao. But the ones who stop by tell me how much they appreciate that they don't see cars and strangers and such coming by to see me, and it's very obvious to them that I do this for me and for medicine. So far so good. And soon the outdoor photos will be big enough that I wont' be able to drag them around all day, so they'll stay static in the stealth spot and nobody will see them ever.

The smell? That's different. We're going to find out how much a Pineapple Upside Down Cake, a Raspberry Parfait, and a Strawberry Banana, all about 5-6 feet tall and all together in a relatively small spot, stink up the neighborhood. Lmao. It's going to smell like a dank fruit salad at my house.

Life is boring without risk. I'm a criminal at heart. What can I say? Lol.

When I moved in I met my only neighbors.
A retired couple he used to be a miner here.
A week after I met him he put 3 ladies outside to finish.
Brilliant I thought always glad to have a neighbor that grows.
On the other side is a small forest.
In September / October ish we noticed a plastic greenhouse on the other side,as all the leaves fell.
A young couple with little kids live there.
As the leaves fell more we could see 4 six foot ladies in front of the greenhouse.
And the greenhouse was full.
So both my neighbors grow woohoo.
Who would have thought I'm the only one on the street without a harvest.
I used to have one a month, but now :(.
Beautiful location Jon.
I'd love to see what your pulling from the pond, 6 lb talipia wow.
I take it your state hasn't legalized yet,Fek.
Stay safe buddy.

Wow, that sounds amazing. Talk about a stroke of luck! You deserve that man, you were due for some good fortune, wouldn't you say?

Yeah, my spot is sweet, albeit a bit risky. They are on the cusp in this state of legalizing growing up to 9 plants. The "pre-vote" thing they do to see if it's going to pass went in favor 70/30, so everyone knows it's going to pass, as soon as the asshole idiot governor of this state allows the vote. Unfortunately he's a well-known Trumper idiot who is up for reelection and undoubtably is going to run for President in 2024, so what we're seeing here is a case where the guy who pulls the strings is holding off due to a political calculation. He doesn't want this issue in the midterms. So it's on hold.

I jumped the gun a bit.

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Your property looks beautiful.
Here is a pic of where I’m going to put the green house next spring.
I think I’ll use river for water.
No chemicals.
Good spot?
Stay safe.

Oh man that's gorgeous. Love the bird feeder. Come with the house? Lol. And a little bench between the trees next to the river? Is it a serious question about is this a good spot? It's fricking beautiful. That said, if you're doing outdoor greenhouse growing, I would think positioning it where you get the most direct sun for the most hours per day would be the thing, no?

Hi Jon, yes exactly that's what I'm doing.. I'm learning alot here and I have a couple people who give me tips and what not on my budget grow. They have helped alot trust me lol but yea if your interested in seeing my "set up" I'm in the ongoing grow journal as "first grow on a budget" ....I just threw her into flower 2-3 days ago and holy wow the stretch phase is no joke :0. But again thanks again when I'm free I'll take a look at your peeps pages and yours. Have a bombastic day my new friend.

Thank you my friend.
We brought the bird bath with us.
I'm not supposed to post non related pics, thus the greenhouse question.
That spot does get the most sun, but I'm leary of blocking the view.
Apparently there is trout, pickerel and pike, but all we have caught so far is pike.
I'm going to build somewhere down there just love the view don't want to wreck it.
Stay safe.

Lol. Well Bill, in my journal you can post whatever you want, no "supposed to" or not here, that's kind of my thing. Lol. I get it. The view is spectacular. Pike are fun, I never caught one but my buddies all have.

FINAL DAY OF LIGHT FOR OUR GIRL
I Am Immersing Her in Dark at Bedtime Tonight
36 Hours of Dark
Day 70

Ok, I'm going to talk a little bit. I love this plant beyond any plant I have ever grown. If you haven't been following the entire 70 days, let me summarize a few things that makes this plant looking this sweet especially surprising and special.

- She is grown from a bagseed Sour Apple seed from the nine seeds I made on my last Sour Apple.
- I simply put the seed into the dirt. I didn't pop it. Just a seed in a pile of wet dirt. Never did that before.
- The soil in question was the pile of used soil where I dump my pots after a grow. It was made of around 75% Fox Farms and about 25% Sohum, and all of it was at least four months old. It goes back to my first grow journal here.
- After she sprouted and I realized she would live, I transplanted the already growing in dirt plant into a pot, using the dirt she was in. That was an extremely delicate operation outlined in the beginning of this journal.
- From that point on she grew outdoors by day and under LED by night, totaling 20 hours of light daily. She started under my non-sponsor pro light in the tent at night, then quickly moved to the @Mars Hydro rig in the outdoor journal to finish her nighttime light.
- I GAVE THIS PLANT ZERO NUTRIENTS. I only had to hand water it twice, and both of those I gave her a Cal Mag treatment. But that is the only thing this plant has seen besides sun, rain, and the soil she's in.
- I did train the plant, obviously, with LST, and I did do a little bit of defoliation.
- I checked trichomes tonight, and she's exactly where I want her to be. Every single one is hard core milky, and those that aren't are a nice, clear amber. Nothing is burned in there. I have about 10-15% amber. Should be an excellent hybrid, but sativa heavy, buzz if I gauged it right.

And here she is, on her last day in the light. Ladies and Germs, I give you my finished Sour Apple Bagseed Used Soil Outdoor/Outdoor LED plant. Aren't you glad you don't have to see her anymore? Lol.

The photos require no words.

Thanks for tuning in to this grow and journal guys, I truly appreciate it. I'll be posting a picture of her hanging in a few days, and then pictures of finish trimmed buds when the time comes, and then lastly, of course, I'll post a yield and smoke report, so I guess it'll stay open til then if anyone wishes to comment.

I had a ton of fun with this plant and with you guys in this journal. Thanks again. And several of you helped me on this with questions/discussions/etc....you know who you are, and special thanks to you guys.

Enjoy!!!

Lol! Thanks! The children are already sprung. My current journal that is Jon's First Outdoor Grow journal is where all the current action outside in one grow area is along with the journal that won the GJOM which is the current photo grow along with this plant and the Chunkadelic. Both of them are keeping me quite busy!!
