Hello i am MrDocganja but you can call me doc or asshole what ever you prefer. lol J/K. but i decided to start a grow journal to help me log info on my grow, get feedback, and if i am luck help someone. i will see how things go as i go one but i plan to try to do updates not only with pictures but video as well when i have the time. making videos of my grow has proving to be a great reference to look back on. i will try to respond to repleys daily to the site but will only prolly update once a week on the grow room.

Ok a fast run down of the room although we will see most of it in the videos. i am just going to discuss the flower room now. i have a veg room of the same size as well. anyways the room is about 7x7 give or take. it has a nine foot ceiling. the exhaust system is a passive intake the room is vented via a 450 cfm inline fan. no A/C yet next week i hope. but it will be a 10000 btu or larger portable a/c. there is two 600 watt hps bulbs in air cooled hoods. dimmable digital ballast. one half of the garden we grow in 100% organic soil blend.the other half i run a 3x4 foot aeroponic table. i am tired i will come back tomorrow with updates and a layout of nuts and soil blends and other general information about this grow.

I've found using a dark background like blue works very good to get a good focus on the buds..

--you know who :D

thanks i will try that next harvest i might have them professionally shot actually depends on how it turns out.

Very nice room, looks like you are going to keep yourself busy with all that going on. Sucks about the heat issues and the dead plants, but it happens to us all and looks like you still got some nice buds o all is not lost. Love the vids, will be sticking around for sure.

That is an interesting way you make tea with the mold. I have never heard of that but will have to try it for sure.

Good luck, + rep, bless

I am hearing from many of you out there via email/PM with regards to my fungi dom tea. Please be very very careful, promoting the fungi in your mix. A little too much help, and they can take over your containers pretty swiftly, killing a lot of the good bacteria as they do. Then they dive the pH and at the very least, make for some really ugly plants that don't yield for shit.

So, I just want to tell you all, that if you use earthworm castings, or compost that is fresh-ish, you have plenty of fungi already, trust me Wink

in "the best of", you have recepies for veg, flower, and mid flower....does this mean you should apply these once at these times only, or these are the recepies you should use if you need more fungi at those particular times? and in case of the latter, how do i know if/when i need to apply more fungi? i hope you understand the question, cause you got me spooked now...hehehee...and i noticed that santas beard was much more pronounced in one of the tea prep mix, than the other recepe started at the same time. is that normal? and what if you let the mix set for more than say, a week before you start to brew, will this create "too much" fungal action? as in if santas beard gets huge? i mixed it up and added water after a few days, and santas beard was apparent, because i wasn't ready to water, then i brewed two days later...

Fungi bring a lot of good to the living micro-universe, but, they are dangerous as well. If your plants grow slowly (and you are using good genetics) and yield really small, it *could* be due to the fungi being too well established; dominating the container mix.

I always liked the fungi dom teas, but I don't use them anymore, since I learned how much fungi is already in a living soilmix. Especially if the soilmix is made with some earthworm castings. And/or if you add earthworm castings or fresh compost.

So just be cautious is all. Too much of any good thing is usually a bad thing in life Wink

Be VERY careful with fungal dom teas bro. They are dangerous if you already have a good balance of fungi and bacteria. Most good soils with earthworm castings in them are already fat with fungus. If you help the fungus out too much, they will take over the container and kill many of the good bacteria. They will drop the soil pH and eventually kill the plant.

Here's a great all purpose tea recipe amigo...

Per gallon of tea...

Add 1 or 2 teaspoons of high N bird or bat guano and 1 tablespoon of molasses, and bubble for 24hrs.

Then add,

about 1 cup of earthworm castings or fresh compost
1 tablespoon of all purpose dry like 5-5-5 Peace of Mind by Fox farm for one example
1 tablespoon of kelp meal
1 teaspoon of dry soluble seaweed or 1 tablespoon of liquid seaweed/kelp
1 or 2 teaspoons of organic fishy ferts liquid
1 tablespoon of Fox Farm Big Bloom
1 tablespoon additional molasses

Bubble this for an additional 24-36 hrs before use. make sure and stir the tea between watering each plant with it too. The primo organic matter will tend to settle within a minute Wink

Also wanted to add here, that you may even want to add everything in stage two, and let it bubble for a couple of hours, and then add the earthworm castings. This way the tea has somewhat stabilized in pH and species and seems to always work better for me.
