KC Brains Mango Perpetual Dutch Table SOG

Greetings growers!
It's been a bit since I've posted anything and figured maybe I'll pop in a new grow journal of a little mango I have in veg. Happens to be Mrs. Cough's absolute favorite strain. She's usually happy to share some flowers with a friend...except for mango...that's for momma only!

Also along for ride is a baby Northern Lights, Purple Haze (seeds arrive tomorrow) and some Doobiebird Daydream (Blue dream x Gupta Kush) from Colorado seed inc that I've been running perpetually for the past few months (great flowers, strong stems, but a FUSSY girl to clone!)

What strain is it? KC Brains Mango
Is it Indica, Sativa or Hybrid? mostly indica
Is it in Veg or Flower stage? Veg
If in Veg... For how long? Several weeks
Indoor or outdoor? Indoor
Soil or Hydro? Coco
If soil... what is in your mix? mother earth coco with some earthworm castings mixed in
If soil... What size pot? #1 pot, clones are vegged in 3" cups, then transplanted to 5"x5" pots for flower.
Size of light? cheap Home Depot LED veg lights for clone, veg, moms, etc., sunsystem 315 CMH for bloom
Is it aircooled? no
Temp of Room/cab? upper 80's
RH of Room/cab? 60's+/-
PH of media or res? 6 +/-
Any Pests ? sure hope not!
How often are you watering? daily/every other in veg, dutch table (flood & drain) on 8 hr cycle for bloom cycle
Type and strength of ferts used? Dynagro 1 part veg and bloom with recharge, silicone, calmag, rhizotonic, enzyme, and bloom boosters in
flower. Foliar clones with mix of Canna Rhizotonic, everyone gets neem oil/soapy water every few days. Optic foliar overgrow weekly for vegging plants.

Here's the mango (bottom left) alongside her girlfriends Northern Lights (middle) and a few Doobiebird Daydream clones (bottom right)

Here's a little mango clone from when I topped her

Here's the DBD mom hanging out in the background, not sure how much longer I'm going to keep her around. I keep telling myself "just a few more cuts and I'll flower her or let her go..." and she keeps giving me more shoots to clone! I guess until I need to make room for others?

Here's a shot of my little 2x3 veg tent where I keep my moms, clones, veg, and sometimes start some veggie seedlings so they can get established without pests or squirrels messing with them. Currently have some San Marzano and Rutgers tomatoes keeping the pot babies company. Lately I've had good luck with some cheap LED veg lights from home depot. They're only like 25W and don't put off hardly any heat, so they're safe to use on clones, seedlings, and small vegging plants. Due to height restrictions in the bloom room I've had the best luck flipping my clones into bloom when they're under a foot tall, so a powerful veg light isn't really necessary for this setup. The plants can literally grow up into and through these little lights unharmed.

Hellooo tomatoes!

Here's the Doobiebird daydream in bloom, almost ready! Sorry about the blurry pics, stupid phone case has seen better days

Bloom room (cabinet) full of doobiebird daydream is coming along nicely, ready to free up some space for some clones ready to flip over! Smells amazing

The mango mom will be ready to give me some more cuttings next week and speaking of...the cabinet full of doobiebird daydream is on day 5 of flush and looking like some frosty xmas trees! Really been please with this 315 light! Put some good genetics with average nutes under it and it does the rest for you! I really wish you could smell them. Definitely pushing the limits of my carbon filter.

So my little mango girl has bushed out some more and gave me 6 cuttings today. The one that i took when topping her popped some roots and we're on our way for a perpetual grow! The doobiebird daydream i chopped is drying nicely and still deciding what to do with the mom...

Had a nice little trim session last night and pulled about 5 oz of doobiebird daydream. The mango and northern lights clones are doing well. Still trying to decide what to do about the dbd mom. One of her daughters is looking to be a good replacement candidate as her shoots are getting kinda woody and harder to clone. Started some seedlings last week of purple haze, northern lights, and chocolope. Had to transplant them into taller containers since they got super leggy.
Happy growing!

It's been over a week and the mango mom is doing well, she's even offered up some new shoots for me to clone on Monday. I like to take clones every other Monday because it's easier to remember and gives me something to look forward to on the first day of work after the weekend. 5 of the cuts i took 9 days ago had popped some nice roots through the rapid rooter plugs. I popped them into 3" pots of coco next to the first clone from when I topped her. That clone though small is just gorgeous. My northern lights, purple haze, and chocolope seedlings are hanging in there and starting to develop some tiny leaves. Had to brace a few that had gotten a little leggy.

The mango mom is doing very well, her first clone is looking so beautiful and healthy. Her 2nd round clones are looking great as well. 3rd round clones are still in the rooting process and I have faith they will pop roots very soon. Much easier to propagate than the doobiebird daydream. Northern lights mom is doing well, her clones have had a slightly higher mortality rate but still coming around. The northern lights, purple haze, and chocolope seedlings are coming along well and popping some small fan leaves. Over in bloom i have a few small girls i was going to harvest this week but double checked their tags which read dec 8th, scoped the trichs and they're at the point where i could chop them now or next week. That being said I have had plants finish early under the 315. Worst case if they're a little sedative mrs cough can use it for bedtime meds

Still vegging and cloning away! Well, really more of pruning the moms and tossing the cuttings into the clone dome. Have some mango and doobie daydream ladies in their last week of bloom and will be flipping over some of the vegging clones into their place about the same time.

What's growin on?
More clones, vegging ladies, and kcb mango is moving into the bloom room! moving on up!
Letting my dbd finish out in bloom, have a few more clones in veg that I'll move to bloom and then will bench her for a bit and let more mango, northern lights and purple haze jump in the game, just keep a small mom alive in the back corner of the veg tent in case i want to put her back in later on.
Dbd has been giving me some DANK little popcorn buds, but not a lot of weight in the 4x4 rockwool cubes that i had hoped for. The 5x5 square coco pots have done a little better but it seems this strain only likes to put on weight if you let her get big. Unfortunately I'm not set up for that atm and am trying to focus on small plants in a small enclosure, so hopefully northern lights and mango will do a little better in said space. I have no doubt that a dbd in a 15 gal under a 600w hps would produce a huge harvest, just not my set up atm.
Lots of happy clones and a few that just fall over/stems turn to squish?

Greetings, the first of the kc mango ladies have been in bloom for a few weeks and just look fantastic! Strong stems, dense bud spacing and already starting to see a little swelling this early. Can't imagine how amazing they're going to smell in a few weeks! The DBD is doing well and continues giving me super fruity fragrant buds. Again these really aren't a fan of small spaces, so they really do feel stunted with an early flip. Maybe one day I'll run this cut where i have some more space. Northern lights is doing great and i popped a chocolope a few weeks ago and she's already given me a few cuts to play with

Greetings everyone,
So the KC mango ladies are doing well! Halfway through flower and budding up nicely. Have a few dbd left in flower that are putting out some gorgeous sticky lil nugs! Northern lights is cranking along beside the mango and my first chocope clone is about ready to flip into bloom. I ran out of my usual dynagro bloom nute between paychecks so had to fill my res with some old GH 3 part i had lying around and fear i made a big mistake! The girls all stretched like crazy and i lost one to either root rot or lockout! As soon i could i rushed back and got some more dynagro as well as some mammoth P, mixed in some recharge hoping to help chew up the excess salts

Started harvesting the northern lights and doobiebird daydream, kc mango will be ready in the next week...well, a continuous harvest that is! Also, added a small chocolope and purple haze the the bloom box. Within two weeks of flipping to 12/12 the chocolope stretched from 12" to 30" and i had to train her sideways to keep out of the light!

It's harvest time! KC mango, doobiebird daydream and northern lights coming down, more to follow in a few weeks! I have to say i really enjoy this style of growing for a personal stash, harvesting is easy and I've never spent more than an hour at a time trimming. Each plant is a stalk that gets hung amd then boom good to go! Ladies looking pretty!

Not sure if this is the best place, seems a bit out of date. Either way, on we go...

Just got a phone call from mrs cough because even though my filter is 3 weeks old the whole place is starting to smell! Guess I'm stopping on the way home to pick up another one to scrub the entire garage because my current filter can't keep up with the dank. This last week has been super fragrant! Note to all, if you're growing mango and keep her happy she will def smell up your entire home! On the plus side she's baking pies to mask it....mmmm

You sure you don't have a leak somewhere?

I'm running a 6" fan/filter per 4x4, and it's a hair bit of overkill. Now when I have the tent open, I get some in the house. It dissipates after a bit though.

What filter? How is it hooked up?

If you have your fan/filter not hooked up properly, it can really bust your bubble.

I forgot the name of the brand, whatever my local shop had. It's a 4" set up pulling from a 2x4 cabinet. I know it doesn't have any positive pressure leaks because if i go a hair over 1/2 power it starts sucking air through the cracks.

Might pick up a 6" filter omw home. Have an old 6" fan laying around and just scrub the whole garage.
Thought at first it could be some old fan leaves i put in my worm bin but this aroma smells like weed and citrus candy so definitely from the ripening buds!

Oh yeah this is an oold journal! But I'm still running this strain.
Stopped by my local shop and picked up a 6" can filter. The other 4" was a phresh brand? Hmmm...
Anyway maybe there's a leak in my ducting or something but will hook up the can filter tonight and go from there

However you're doing it, make sure the fan is hooked directly to the filter. Obviously about 6" of ducting or so is needed to cover the connection, but some duct clamps and duct tape on top of it should be good. I like to use the foil tape for this.

How my exhausts are set up are I use a round 8" to 6" HVAC reducer (that has filters on it) in a duct port of the tent. Flex ducting from there to the intake of the fan (sits on a shelf), and then the filter is hooked directly to the output of the fan. (They're both AC Infinity Cloudline S6's.)

The only critical connection is the filter to the fan (regardless of push or pull through the filter), and I probably over compensate on those. Oh well, they don't leak.

So i got the can filter taped to an old duct booster i had laying around. Might pick up an inline fan next payday. Going to leave it in the middle of the room scrubbing the air because very soon that ripe mango will be coming OUT! Also here's a pic of the setup with the two small grows veg and bloom sharing a 4in filter
